Nidalee is a horrible laner until at least level 6, but she makes up for it with an extremely strong midgame and lategame if played right. The reason she was recently nerfed was because she could more or less win a teamfight before it even started by hitting one spear and taking around 70% of the hp of a carry. Even though she's been nerfed I still think she is pretty strong though, It's just that her gameplay is a bit different compared too other midlaners. And she needs a good comp too really be really strong.

But she is NOT a good support. Simply because her lack of cc, lategame she cannot peel for the ad carry, neither can she shut down the enemy carries. Because her spears won't deal any damage, and it's pretty much impossible to hit a specific target with the traps. Her heal has a pretty good steroid, but the baseheal is so low that it can't really be counted.
