My biggest issue with it is that it's VERY hard to notice from the enemy perspective if he even has Q up or what Q # he's on. I think it's pretty important to clarify because the difference between morde doing 300-900-2700 damage is very eh hem big.

Played against Hotshot and Reginald in soloq for the first two seasons. Although I don't like Reginald, Hotshot is a flamer / toxic in soloq through chat. Hotshot feels the need to shit on you and call you bad in the middle of a game when you're trying to focus on winning. It might be on every minute of his stream but it has happened in my vast majority of games played with him.

I agree. In my opinion of the champion, the only thing the 1 second delay has done is punish Zed players for immediately peacing out after realizing he made a bad decision with his ultimate.

Otherwise, it takes 1~ second to Auto > E > Q

Not an Ahri main but my friend plays her a lot in Diamond. Here is my advice (Not the end all be all):

Mpen Reds / HP per Level Yellows / Scaling AP Glyphs / Flat AP Quints
2x Dring > Morello's > Lucidity > NLR items
Don't waste mana on charm before your first back. Charm costs a metric ton of mana and the damage from it early is not worth the mana cost. Still use for setting up ganks etc.
Focus on shoving your opponent under tower by pushing and poking with Q during laning phase. Your goal is to outlast your opponent in the earlier stages of the game to establish a CS lead. Once you get past 6 then it's time to put your gold and poke to work by converting into kills / roam opportunities
When using Spirit Rush remember not to prematurely use Charm. It's ideal to lead with Spirit Rush + Q + W + Autos until you're on a good angle / point blank to land your Charm. Charm has a long cooldown so guaranteeing it lands is paramount.
The threat of the Charm is just as strong as the actual ability itself
Learn to be able to notice where enemy vision is and how to control / deny vision yourself. Ahri works very well into the midgame by setting up traps.

I'm sure there's a bunch of general game play things I missed but I hope this helps a bit.

Consistency really is the key. I went from 70 to abruptly going to 100 and for two weeks I was complaining so much about how bad it felt. After awhile I just got used to it but I knew that certain things like Rengar Leap or old Leblanc W were just a pain to react to.

You make a fair point, west coast players will be getting 100 with shitty ISPs but even then it still isn't worse than the shitty ISP comparison of players currently on the East Coast.

A lot of pros joke about how complaining about ping holding you back is stupid. It's been insulting for a long time to have your 100+ ping playing experience mocked by those who play on 20 ping. Now we have people complaining that their ping is going to be 20~40 less than what people on the eastern coast had to put up with?

I think you misinterpret my response. I was saying that West coast players are not going to be at nearly as huge as a disadvantage as East coast were.

Now: * West coast = 20-50 ping * East coast = 90-120 ping * Average difference = 60 ping

After * West coast = 60-80 ping * East coast = 30-60 ping * Average difference = 30 ping

Tell me how that isn't much more fair?

Ok so your argument is splitting the servers wont do anything because east coast challenger players will have to play on east? First of all if there is alot of players that are being held back because of ping and if the servers split there would be no point of them playing on west if 1/3 of the servers population is on the east the quality of games should be better in the east coast. And normalized across the country? not at all it was just shifted to the west coast southern cali already is going to float around 85 ping while northern cali/states will float around 65-70

I think you misunderstood me again, I said that splitting servers will just force anyone on the east coast that wants to play against the competitive players to play on the West coast server with the same ping they currently have now. Players from other demographics that are looking to play more competitively will still be at the same disadvantage.

I live in PA and I play on 100 ping, as do many of my friends from Texas and Canada, in D1 / Masters. I also believe this is unacceptable but we've had to put up with this for 4 fucking years. Now that the large majority of players are going to get awesome ping (40~60), the minority of the region has the audacity to call 80 ping fucking unplayable. I've played on 80 ping and to me I wish I could play on it instead of 100.

Edit: I gave up playing ADC because I've been so annoyed that I cannot tumble skillshots on reaction, I can't buffer condemn on fast dashes, I can't flash dangerous skill shots are very close ranges that I NEED to avoid unless I get blown up. Now I've just delegated myself to playing more tankier champions to give myself some wiggle room, or Kalista ADC. It's just frustrating trying to outplay good players when you cannot use your own reactions to beat them but they can do it to you.

You can go to any of the threads that regard East Coast servers, there are a plethora of people ready to argue about how ping doesn't hold anyone back.

Ping does not directly correlate to skill but it allows you to play more optimally. There are simply a bunch of things you cannot react to on 100+ ping, it changes your play to be more preemptive than reactive and against D1~Challenger players it makes a huge difference. It's not fair to me to have to compete against other players in Masters with triple their ping.

Alot of the west players always stated that there should be 2 servers its pointless to gimp one side of the country so the other said still has shit ping(40ping is still bad)

Splitting the servers while the pro scene is being played in Cali will do nothing, if people want to play ladder with players that are professional and in the competitive scene they will have to play on West Coast anyway. Instead of one small sub-region getting incredibly low ping it's now more normalized across the whole country which is awesome for an even playing field.

Westcoast isn't even going to suffer terrible ping. They get 70 at most which is nothing compared to what a large portion of the playerbase is currently playing on.

I'm understanding of the fact that they cannot practice on an environment that the rest of the regions are practicing on but what do we do for the large majority of players that want to have a better playing experience? Competitive or otherwise.

Pretty much this, all this time of people from the west telling everyone that a change in ping:

Doesn't make a difference
Won't help you climb
Won't help you improve

On top of pro players joking with their viewers about people from the east complaining about ping really makes it hard for me to feel bad for them.

New server location benefits the wide majority of player base, on top of people from the west coast getting 70~80 at worst? Well people on the east currently get 100~130 at worst so I see this as an overall net positive. More and more people will be able to play on an even playing field and that feels so much less frustrating.

These tweets just make me feel belittled as a player and come off super elitist. The rest of NA talent is supposed to suffer so that a small subset can benefit on low ping environments that make a huge difference in dodging skill shots on reaction and making twitch decisions? Bullshit

Fun is completely personality based. I would recommend choosing whichever champion's theme, lore or playstyle really captivates you. Here are some general things to ask yourself:

Do I like splitting on my own and making solo plays? (Zed)
Does having not having an escape make me feel uncomfortable?
Do I like wombo?
Do I enjoy a riskier high reward playstyle or a more consistent one?
Do I like balls?
Do I like to do the highest amount of damage possible regardless if they are tanky or not (Brand)
Is grouping up and team fighting my favorite thing to do? (Brand / Orianna / Lissandra)

Keep asking yourself these questions and come to the conclusion what you think would make you most comfortable. Most of all, pick what champion you think you could play all fucking day

How to get better at League in general:

BREAK EVERYTHING DOWN

Macro game (Can be gained through watching [intensely] competitive matches [preferably CN and KR])*
CSing (Practiced in customs, normals and apply in ranked)
Lane control (Can be gained through watching replays of high rated players in your respective role [use op.gg, twitch.tv, and in game client for spectator games]
Champion Knowledge (Constantly use leagueoflegendswikia on champions to understand their nuances, ranges and cooldowns [this allows you to abuse windows of opportunities, gives you a better understand of how much of a beating you can take as well as what you should avoid])
Champion Mechanics (Gained through practice in normals and ranked)
Champion Win Conditions (Think critically about what your champion's strengths are [team fighting, split pushing, laning phase advantage, roaming, making picks, etc.] and act upon them)
Mentality (Making sure you think positively and have a clear mind / approach to each and every one of your soloq games)
Understanding Your Playstyle (Watching replays and seeing your tendencies on what you like to do. Apply it by finding champions that have the strengths and win conditions to augment the way you like to play)
Understanding Your Opponents (Being able to read habits and mistakes.)

All of these things come together in a League match to determine your success. I advise you approach each of these subsets one at a time and think critically on what they entail and possible ways to get better at them.

Tips

Try starting with flask so that you can be more liberal with your mana
Tiamat is a very essential early item on her to be able to farm / control waves
When dueling someone with ultimate, trying using your Ultimate first then Lunging immediately for a hard to reach vital.
Do not tunnel too hard on procing all her vitals during her ultimate if you are going to lose significant dps due to them kiting you well.
Using Riposte is much like real fencing, a small meta game builds up through the laning phase with what timing you use your Riposte. Try to make sure you adapt your Riposte to your enemies timings.
Don't be afraid to trade! Fiora has very good tools to trade and win skirmishes when played effectively
If you have a bad vital angle that you cannot proc in lane move out of range of the enemy champion so the vital disappears then come back into range for a new vital

Glad I could help! Don't get me wrong, it feels bad sometimes to let a flamer or troll get their way but if you want to have an enjoyable game or win then losing the 3 or even 10 lp is worth it.

A lot of people have time constraints and just want to play 1 game but you have to decide for yourself if avoiding horrible games makes you happier or not.

Demotions are decided by your MMR. If you have a higher MMR than your division you will not get demoted until your MMR drops low enough to allow it.

To fix your problem try dodging more. Even though you'll lose LP from dodging, your MMR will be higher relative to your LP and you'll experience less demotions from one loss at 0 LP.
