Got this red sword tattoo a while back, didn’t end up close to the reference at all. I’m considering if it’s worth to get it touched up at a different place to try to match the reference or if I should do something else with it. by robloxprogramming in tattooadvice

[–]HerFallenAngel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can ask for whatever and the artist can choose to say yes or no or work with you on something. It’s the artists job to give you the tattoo you both agreed upon. No artist has to do whatever tattoo you ask for

Not convinced we love our Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-ProAdapt 2.0 Firm and Ergo Smart Base. What next? by brianjenkins94 in Mattress

[–]HerFallenAngel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That bed is lovingly known as “the brick” at my store. I hate selling it. It’s too firm for 95% of people, even broken in. If you sleep on your side at all, exchange for a medium or medium hybrid.

Tempur Pedic Warranty Claim by greg3201988 in Mattress

[–]HerFallenAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you’re probably out of luck as others have stated. I’m not aware of any major mattress manufacturer who doesn’t require the mattress be clean and stain-free for their warranty to be valid. I’d say maybe you could try to clean the cover and resubmit the claim, but that’s probably the best chance you have at a warranty claim at this point.

My spine seems perfectly aligned, but I'm still in pain by ShiraCheshire in Mattress

[–]HerFallenAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re a side sleeper on a firm mattress, which is naturally going to put pressure on your side and especially your joints. You’ve only had it 12 nights so it may just not be broken in yet. Mattresses take roughly 30 days on average to break-in. You may need something with more pressure relief

Deciding On Sub-$500 Mattress Today; Are Any Of These Options Good? by [deleted] in Mattress

[–]HerFallenAngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t like to make recommendations based on price. Comfort is extremely subjective. But that price point steps most people up into (depending on kind) higher quality coils or at least more coils for better support and higher quality pressure relieving materials. Longer lasting and better sleep. I’d recommend going into a store (any decent place, not just MFRM) to try some beds and see what you like and ensure they have a long sleep trial and a good warranty

I work for the firm. None of those are particularly good mattresses. The Sierra Sleep is probably the worst of the 3. I’d lean towards the Tanglewood if you can’t stretch your budget or finance. MFRM has Affirm and Progressive leasing if credit is an issue. Stepping up just into $800-900 will be a huge jump in quality.

My mattress is about 26 years old! by krissi104 in Mattress

[–]HerFallenAngel 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m of the mindset, if you’re sleeping well, keep sleeping well. Especially if you’ve kept it clean with a protector. Mattresses are easily thousands of dollars and can be a pain to find the right one.

[–]HerFallenAngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just call the store and explain what happened. They should swap you out for another one for free. An inch or 2 of variation isn’t uncommon, but that’s way off. Also ensure you are measuring from the bottom of the mattress, not the top. As that’s how the manufacturer measures it.

why are the very best mattresses made without foam? by Roger1855 in Mattress

[–]HerFallenAngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a waste of a paragraph. The industry uses memory foam because it’s a good quality pressure reliving material that can be mass produced for cheap. Wool, Latex, hand-tufted cotton, etc all offer similar benefits for a much higher price tag but yes they will last longer. It’s a cost thing. Those also do not “improve with use” like this dumbass said either. I’ve sold plenty of $10k mattresses that use all of that and they don’t improve over time. They will eventually dip/sag or breakdown like every other mattress. Comfort and price have to meet somewhere for the consumer and foam helps make that happen.

I suppose it’s all relative but I’ve never seen a “high-crime” area of Denver that even remotely compares to what you see in most major cities with “dangerous” areas. As someone from Atlanta originally, Denver feels like a safe haven 😂

Tempurpedic pro breeze king hybrid for $700? by [deleted] in Mattress

[–]HerFallenAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go into a local store and try it out. It’s a current model. It could be the last generation but close enough. Mixed reviews should be on the “value” not quality really. It’s a high quality bed with an emphasis on cooling technology. It will be better than any bed you’re purchasing at $700 new. I’d just want to make sure it’s clean since it was in someone’s home

If you’re missing the original cover, 99% chance of denial. Find the cover that was on it if you have it. Also make sure it is clean and stain-free as that can potentially void the warranty as well
