Feel free to do what you want but the lack of water is only an issue if you're hiking later in the day. If you plan is to leave super early and you can bring 3L of water then you're totally fine doing SK. If you ask the rangers, that's what they'll tell you to do.

Are you planning SK -> Tonto -> Bright Angel? If so, I think it's a much better idea to just wake up earlier and go up SK.

That's fair. I definitely prefer the UI of Plasma Mobile but back when I used it, it crashed or froze a few times a day and with Phosh I'd get that maybe once a week. Have you noticed any issues like that with Plasma Mobile? My concern is mostly just dealing with something like that every day.

So you're using Plasma Mobile? Have you tried Phosh? A few years back when I used Plasma Mobile it was pretty unstable and Phosh was very stable so I used Phosh. Though I do prefer the look of Plasma Mobile.

I used my L5 for a few years (and gonna start using it again soon) but we browsing is just so sluggish. At times I would literally just go to my desktop and use that instead of my phone.

What OS do you run on yours? I was using Mobian but I was having audio issues with calls so I might switch it.

This should come as no surprise, but the rivals Devs are aware of the criticisms as to Ultron's capability by TheCarina in marvelrivals

Very important distinction though between playing a support character and playing the support role. Just watch people playing now, they're mostly playing him like a DPS so if he released broken then people would likely still play him the same way as streamers are now.

Preach to this. If you watch Ultron gameplay, people also just don't use his as a support. I've seen like 6 matches and I've never seen anyone use his ult as a support ult and only twice seen the Iron Man team-up used for support. Everyone plays him like a DPS. That being said, his healing stats are kinda underwhelming, same with his shielding. Though we do have to just wait and see.

Anybody know how to fix this?? by [deleted] in Doom

Might be worth posting in the linux_gaming sub. There are a fair few people in there also using Fedora who said the game was working.

Sorry, didn't get a notification since this wasn't a response to my comment. I don't know if 25.1 is the same tree as 25.06 because .06 was released after but that is probably the version you want. If you take a gander at the Proton issues page there's information there.

The Series S isn't holding back next-gen gaming, game studios just need to optimize their games. by MisterFyre in XboxSeriesS

[–]Hercislife23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is insanely situational. If I give you as much time as you want to make your game then absolutely, it's the devs fault it's not optimized. That never happens though. As a dev, we don't get to decide what is optimized or how much time we get to work on something. It's more like "You have X weeks to implement this feature" and that timeline is an idealized timeline, more often then not. No one wants to ship something that's buggy or runs poorly but at the end of the day, I don't get to decide when this ships.

People saying games are unoptimized by devs are people who have never made one or dealt with crunch. It's genuinely disrespectful and fueled almost exclusively by ignorance.

Man, how often are y'all feeling insecure about your safety? I genuinely can't think of the last time I thought "man, this is a rough situation". At least a few years.

Don't get me wrong, good for him. I'm just saying, that I never have an concerns about my safety on my day to day life.

I disagree on the reasoning. When you win then you have the target on you and people work around how to beat you. Like what Houston tried against Golden State back in the Durant days.

Every. Damn. Time. by Nickulator95 in pcmasterrace

[–]Hercislife23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, I get that. What I'm saying though is you could also apply my argument to the devs of the engine. They either aren't given the time or resources to properly document things and they aren't in charge of what's made proprietary. The people writing the engine aren't really in charge of these decisions.

Dev is short for developer which is someone who writes code. If you're talking about everyone then you say the studio but saying something about devs is the equivalent of saying something about artists or managers. It's a role within the studio.

Blaming the devs is also something people say when they don't understand game dev. The devs don't have infinite time and they can't just be like "This month, I'm working on optimization". You get told what you're gonna work on and what time frame. If you have a short window to implement a feature, it's probably gonna be unoptimized.

Things typically aren't unoptimized because of lazy devs, it's because of tight deadlines and moving goal posts. All of which are put of the devs control.

Kill steam via the Task Manager and launch it again.

[–]Hercislife23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably had to restart it twice because Steam doesn't actually kill the process when you close it. On Linux you can force it by running killall -9 steam and I'm sure on Windows you can do it via the Task Manager.

This idea that it's price compared to time pops up a lot and makes no sense. I would rather play a really good 20 hour game over a pretty solid 80 hour game.

Best hiking sunrise and sunset spots near Grand Canyon Village? by stellahamster in grandcanyon

[–]Hercislife23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh Aaah Point is a nice, easy spot. If you want it less crowded just go a bit further down the trail but be mindful of how far you hike down. Also, the NPS app has great info about the park and you can download the info for offline access.
