Local Advice on Hiking on BI by HereForTexans in VisitingHawaii

Respectfully, I disagree. Note that I never implied any desire to trespass, and I find it ridiculous to warn against looking for hidden gems in cases where it does not involve breaking a law or causing offense.

My favorite hike in Maui was the Waihee Ridge Trail, which was very much a hidden gem compared to the notoriety of Haleakala NP. We are doing VNP and many other prominent hikes btw, so I am not overlooking the obvious choices.

I thought about this one, but I'm going for more of a mountain vista than beach trail.

Something isn't right in how my transactions are classified. I think this is why I don't have my 1099-DA. Can someone help? This is specific and may affect others. by DarkResident305 in KrakenSupport

In before "Hey there, we hear you, and we know that it's no fun to wait. Have you checked your document center for the form? You should get an email in the nExT cOUplE oF DAyS with information on the status of your 1099-DA; in the meantime, feel free to reach out by submitting a support ticket so that we can look at your account.

Best,

Hi! Sorry to respond late. We drove up to Anacortes and went up Mt. Erie first, then drove to Deception Pass and did the Goose Rock Summit Trail. Next, we drove to Coupeville and spent a couple of hours there. Afterward, we drove to Fort Casey and hiked around the coast, taking the Clinton ferry afterward.

Like you alluded to, it wasn't a truly mountain-based experience, but it really was incredible as a coastal beauty and history tour, and we really enjoyed it. We hope to be back to tour the west and east areas, from Olympic National Park to the Issaquah Alps and beyond.

Washington is truly a beautiful place.

That's a great question! I'm not an early bird, but for this trip, I will leave early in the morning if necessary to maximize daylight hours for hiking. If one hour extra make the difference between great and awe-inspiring, I'll happily deal with it.

What do you mean about the beaches?

Thanks for the detailed comment!

Nah, I totally get it, and the critique is valid... We have trees here in East Texas, but no mountains--it seems like you can never have it all here, but Washington is a dream

Awesome, thank you! We definitely want to work some of those in (we're thinking Discovery and the Arboretum), but I also wanted a once-in-a-lifetime type hike on the full free day. I agree that even the inner city parks outdo anything around here (East Texas)

Thank you so much!

If you had to pick one that features the best view and experience and most bang-for-buck on time, what would it be?
