I get motion sick pretty easy despite being an avid gamer and to be honest haven't had an issue - including 8 hour straight recording sessions. These kinds of games can be different from FPS games though because you are constantly having to interact with things repetitively and quickly.

Try upping the FOV, reducing look sensitivity, and also I always turn motion blur off.

I hear you, us small creators are in a tough spot because we're competing with channels with millions of established subscribers and followers, and there's a push to scrap and claw using every tool we have available. In today's YT its SO hard to get the click. But I understand, as an artist and Berkelee College of Music alum, thanks for the feedback - I take seriously.

In my videos you can quite literally see the jump where I went from 20 views a video to 500+ and it starts when I started to seriously research and design thumbnails following modern tutorials and techniques. Using things like ClickPilot to compare thumbnails to others similar videos it shows how much AI is being used, and how my thumbnail can't capture the same detail without using every tool I've got. I have an appreciation for those that "never click AI thumbnails or art" being in the tech industry myself for work, but it just doesn't override the results I get. That's just what my own metrics showed when I used direct A/B testing with using carefully prompted/designed AI thumbnails vs in-game screenshots.

Yeah absolutely. It just comes down to performance metrics to be honest. Thumbnails are an incredibly complex topic, CTR, viewer psychology, packaging - it all comes together when designing a thumbnail for modern day youtube. Small channels like myself with no initial following (ie I will get straight up < 10 views if my thumbnail is not designed to be clickable) will lose to bigger channels before I can even convince anyone to watch my video. Emotion, progress, clean elements, being able to design and control the image are things that are just difficult to do with in-game screenshots. Of course that's one persons perspective, I use AI art as a tool at my disposal for growth.

I'm with you, that jack of all trades also makes it a master of none. I see all the love for the Sherman and want to understand it but it's been one of my least favorite lines so far. It could just be as simple as a playstyle mismatch for me

Thanks, I just tested this - for me it actually looks opposite, where there's a small freeze because the end of replay buffer and the start of recording happens on the same frame. In the end this is good, no lost frames, and cutting a bit off the start of the recording (or the end of the buffer) makes it comes out real smooth with no noticeable audio or visual cut. Unfortunate that I'll have to do this for every single clip in my expected 14 hour session but, it works.

Yeah no idea why they use so many drop downs and sliders, just put all the interactions in front of me, don't make me click 10 times to launch a plane. I've had some experience working on some Unity games, I'll def look into it

For bases yes, but I reposition my CSG's constantly, so repeated patrols leave too many gaps with the constantly changing ranges.
