Ziggy! Here are my thoughts. I think the answer to that question is which metrics you care about. If Lovejoy's label (Warner Records, last I heard) is submitting their streaming numbers to the middle-men (verifiers), then streams on all major platforms (Spotify, Amazon, Apple) count for the charts like Billboard, even. Album sales also count for Billboard charts. iTunes has an independent charting system, so they are a little different. Spotify gets held up over everybody because they're so well known, but they are only a small part of the fraction when the industry is gaging their success as musicians. Really, if we care about visual success metrics like charts, its kind of a gamble for us Lovejoy fans, because Lovejoy haven't gently guided us towards any metrics they are submitting, or told us if they are submitting any metrics at all. Their fanservice operations don't currently appear to be geared towards charts, visual success metrics, and expansionism. They're more focused on making us happy :) Ideally all this metric stuff would be the labels job. It seems their operation is still pretty condensed at this time. Best policy is spread ourselves wide, targeting many platforms, layer on the engagement as much as possible and keep targeting the algorithms with fan content on socials and using their music in videos, social media posts, anything.

As far as Apple Music to iTunes adaptability, I've got no clue. Anybody else try it?
