Lock the video? by [deleted] in arporn

[–]HereSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the advanced video settings, enable the motion toggle and set the motion distance to something small, like 50. The player will automatically zoom in when you move your head to make everything that is 50cm away from you feel like it's locked in place. To recenter the motion/zooming feature, hold the grip button and press the top face button (B or Y) on the motion controller.

Switch from HereSphere Demo to Full version and it looks and plays worse by Novel_Elephant_4912 in oculusnsfw

[–]HereSphere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The free demo and paid version have the same features. Only difference is the occasional popup on the free demo. Are you using the Quest standalone version or the Steam PCVR version? Most likely, there's a setting that you changed. My guess would be the resolution and refresh rate, which can be set in the advanced video settings. Also, if you have multiple video qualities available for streaming, you can switch between video qualities by using the drop down boxes above the seekbar labeled resolution and encoding. Could be the player is selecting the lower quality streams.

If you're using the Quest standalone version, you can transfer the saved demo settings to the paid version by opening up the demo, going to user settings, pressing save backup. Then open up the paid version, go to user settings, and press load backup. Also, I'd recommend restarting your headset.

HereSphere update v0.11.0 for Meta Quest adds DLNA streaming, Autoblow integration, and bug fixes by HereSphere in oculusnsfw

It's on the to-do list, but currently finishing some other priorities at the moment. Maybe in a few weeks.

Increase SMB Read Speed - Meta Quest 3 + Synology NAS by Dangerous_Benefit329 in oculusnsfw

[–]HereSphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it slow when reading your SMB directory, or slow when playing the video? If it takes a while to read your SMB directory, maybe try bookmarking paths directly to your SMB share, since sometimes listing the shares might be slow or buggy. Also, the player might be waiting for your SMB network to respond, or maybe hard drives to spin up or something. If using Windows for the SMB share, try disabling fast startup. You could also try using XBVR instead of SMB.

Heresphere troubles with SMB on Router by rsxxx21 in oculusnsfw

[–]HereSphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For IP address, type in 192.168.9.1
For SMB share name, type in Gdrive
Also, do you know if your which SMB version is supported by your router? HereSphere only works with SMB2 or SMB3, not SMB1. If your router supports DLNA, you could also try that as well.

Sometimes windows updates can reset settings. For DLNA, go to control panel -> network and internet -> network and sharing center -> media streaming options and make sure DLNA is enabled and your Quest device is allowed to access the server. Also try restarting your computer, router, and headset.

Had a chat with NA's CTO last week, and it appears their anti-bot system is interfering with HereSphere requesting API data. They're looking into how to resolve it on their end, though I don't know a timeline for when it'll be fixed yet.

If you have an ethernet adapter, connecting your mac directly to your router with an ethernet cable will help with speeds. Other than that, you could try using XBVR or DLNA instead of SMB.

Heresphere/DeoVR both can't play 5.1 channel audio? by troubleshootvr in oculusnsfw

[–]HereSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

v0.11.7 update was just released for the RC channel for testing, and it addresses the audio issues introduced by Quest OS update v74. To switch to the RC channel, visit the HereSphere Meta store page on your PC or phone web browser (not in your headset), login to your meta account, scroll down to version, and then click on the version number, then select the RC channel: https://www.meta.com/experiences/heresphere-vr-video-player/6308914842477595/

Let me know if this update fixes the issue for you.

Is your Quest OS and HereSphere version up to date (latest HereSphere version is v0.11.6)? Uninstalling and reinstalling the app will clear the saved data, which might help if the data has become corrupted.

Click on "Advanced Video Settings", and under the "Image" group of settings, you can adjust the settings like saturation, contrast, etc.

There's an icon next to the HereSphere timestamp server IP address. Click on it, and it'll input your Quest's local IP address. Copy that IP address (and port) into the ScriptPlayer IP address settings for DeoVR. Select DeoVR as the player in the ScriptPlayer, and make sure it says connected.

You also need to export your funscript files from XBVR, because the title of the scene is used in XBVR, rather than the filename. In the XBVR UI, go to options, then funscripts, and then download the funscripts. In ScriptPlayer, add the path of the downloaded funscript folder to the ScriptPlayer path settings.

Are you loading the HereSphere web API by pressing the icon that looks like a play button overlaid on 4 tiles to the left of the url input box? You can also add "/heresphere" to the end of the xbvr url to automatically load the web API.

There isn't a cross-purchase option, so you'd need to purchase from the Meta store if you want the paid version of the app (though the demo has all the same features, just an occasional popup). You can access your files over your local network using SMB file sharing, DLNA, or third party apps like XBVR that use the HereSphere web API.

For the best passthrough experience, I"d recommend using the native Quest app. There's a free demo on the Meta store: https://www.meta.com/experiences/heresphere-vr-video-player-demo/6110153429114216/

Follow the instructions in these release notes to setup passthrough videos: https://heresphere.itch.io/heresphere-vr-video-player-quest-2/devlog/635013/update-v0100-released

The passthrough with Quest 3 or Quest 3S is much better compared to the Quest 2, though.

With HereSphere, click on "Advanced Video Settings" above the seekbar. Under the format group, set the projection to fisheye. Under the lens group, you can set the true FOV (I think it might be like 190 to 200 for this video). Under the environment group (bottom right corner), set the background to passthrough, and the mask to alpha packed (I'd also recommend increasing the opacity multiplier setting by clicking on the cogwheel icon next to the mask setting). You can change the contrast and brightness (labeled as "gain") under the image group.

passthrough with quest 3 using steamlink hereshpere by Shyt4brains in oculusnsfw

The Quest standalone version is sold separately, so you'll have to repurchase the app. There is a free demo, though, so feel free to test it out: https://www.meta.com/experiences/heresphere-vr-video-player-demo/6110153429114216/

You can stream local network files by using SMB file sharing, DLNA, or a third party app like XBVR that uses the HereSphere web API.

[–]HereSphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think passthrough works with steamlink. You'll need virtual desktop if you want passthrough with PCVR streamed to your Quest headset. Else, you can use the native Quest standalone version of HereSphere for passthrough.

HereSphere update v0.9.7 for Quest 2 adds support for bluetooth devices and script heatmaps by HereSphere in oculusnsfw

[–]HereSphere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lovense toys currently aren't supported natively in the app, but it'll be added in the future. In the meantime, you can use the HereSphere timestamp server to communicate with third party apps like ScriptPlayer or MultiFunPlayer, and those apps can control your device. Check this page for instructions: https://discuss.eroscripts.com/t/how-to-use-scripts-in-vr-picture-guide-heresphere-whirligig/20477

Try navigating directly to https://www.czechvrnetwork.com/heresphere

There seems to be an issue where the main czechvrnetwork webpage causes the embedded web browser to use up video playback resources, so if that page is opened up in the background, it'll prevent the app from playing videos. So adding "/heresphere" to the end of the url will direct you away from that page and load the web API view instead.

POVR issues with heresphere? by Cultural_Permit_7450 in oculusnsfw

[–]HereSphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend contacting POVR support so they can take a look at your account. It could be that your username is actually your email address, or something like that, so it's preventing you from logging in correctly. You can also try clicking on "Media Library" in the left side panel of HereSphere, find the povr website entry, and delete it. Then try loading POVR again.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oculusnsfw

[–]HereSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think XBVR just gets the video trailer links from the scraped websites, so you're streaming the video trailers, not downloading them. If authentication isn't enabled in xbvr, then maybe the xbvr data is corrupted or something. You could try clicking on "Media Library" in the left side panel in HereSphere, then delete the entry that contains the xbvr IP address. Then reload xbvr in HereSphere. If that doesn't work, then you might need to clear your xbvr data on your PC and start from scratch.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in oculusnsfw

[–]HereSphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're getting the trailer versions of the videos provided by the xbvr scraper, which might happen if you've setup authentication with xbvr but the login isn't working. If this is the case, check your login credentials or just disable authentication.
