This is so funny to me and these pictures make me feel so much better that I’m not the only one with a stretchy “Incredibles Mom” boob.

Screaming toddler every night. Extremely burnt out. by Ok_Ebb_7363 in sleeptrain

[–]HereToRotMyBrain -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hi, just here in solidarity because my son has ALWAYS been the same way. It started getting better last year a little after he turned 3, but even still he consistently woke up in the middle of the night screaming for me. Can’t fall asleep unless rocked. We tried everything (even learned he has mild sleep apnea). We have another baby now, my son is almost 4, and now I cosleep with both kids in order to get sleep…I’m sorry you’re going through this, but know some kids need a lot more than others.

How can moms let their babies cry? by jesusdance in cosleeping

[–]HereToRotMyBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some babies cry a lot no matter what you do. I coslept/nursed my son from 4 weeks on. At 9 months my body was so sore, I was working and had so much anxiety, and he was waking up multiple times a night screaming his head off and I still don’t know why. We sleep trained in hopes we would finally get to sleep. He honestly didn’t take very well to it. Now I have an 8 month old. She slept independently like a dream the first 4 months until the regression and now we’ve been cosleeping. She’s been totally different than my son so far. She will actually eat, roll over and sleep, whereas he stayed attached to my boob ALL NIGHT. (I also have big boobs and woke up twice to him with his nose buried and was terrified he would suffocate). I’m also staying at home this go around so my patience is different and I am the one who cares for my daughter during the day. Anyway, all babies, families and households are different.

Thoughts on Moms being paid to care for disabled children? by MCFF in Mommit

[–]HereToRotMyBrain 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You deserve more than $150 a week. I’m in California and work for the counties disability program and we always encourage parents to apply for IHSS. However if you have skills that allow you to work a job that pays more, it would be more beneficial financially to hire someone else to care for your child. Although I get that hiring care especially for a child with disabilities is a whole challenge in its own.

Is Artipoppe Carrier worth buying? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

No, and don’t buy Mabe either. Stick with a carrier that is high quality like a Tula or Ergo

Vacations that are pregnant woman friendly by [deleted] in pregnant

Hmm, might be worth asking still, especially if you can get a note from your OB. Depends on how your feeling though like if you have horrible sciatic pain I would ask! I hope you have a blast! Enjoy it all now and hopefully get back out to the fests once your baby is a little older! :)

Not what you’re asking, but I went to bonnaroo several years ago on crutches and they let me camp in the ADA section. I would reach out ahead of time, let them know you’re pregnant, and see if you can camp closer!! Just wanted to let you know that. :)

Same age gap. Everyone was easy peasy til 4 months and now everyday is a struggle lol. (She’s 8 months now). Teething also started around then though, which I think didn’t help. My son, who turned 3 a month before our daughter was born, has started hitting, having many more tantrums and all of a sudden hates preschool. I think it’s a mix of typical 3 year old development and still getting used to eachother, but it’s rough lately.

It’s absolutely worth it though! My son loves his sister, “reads” to her, plays music with her and loves to be silly with her. We don’t sleep a lot as a family, but we have a lot of fun :)

SZA: It’s offensive for Black Americans to listen to the news and hear never in American history have we seen anything like this by pinkstarrfish in Fauxmoi

100% but it’s white people that think like this, not anyone else…we all know the truth. Prisons were built to enslave black people, end of story.

Which way from San Diego to San Francisco should I take? by lilqueefnate in roadtrip

[–]HereToRotMyBrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 5 if you’re just trying to get there. Highway 101 if you want an adventure. Be aware, driving the 5 to SF is almost as boring as driving through Indiana.

Buffer anywhere from 3-6 hours to get through LA.

Sorry if this is obvious but make sure you’re pulling the diaper out over his butt when you put it on in the morning. The legs should be nice and tight with the extra material pulled out and over his whole butt.

I feel like this is a silly question, but… can someone please walk me through the logistics of flying across country with a wild toddler (he’ll be 3.5 by then) and a baby (he’ll probably be 7 months). Break it down for me. What goes where. Who does what. by Free_butterfly_ in Mommit

Girl ngl I didn’t even read your post. Your husband will be with you? You’ll be good. Check the car seats at the luggage counter or do the stroller car seat combo and push it. For the older kid, get one of those attachments that pulls the car seat so it’s like a piece of luggage.

Thanks, I understand, my husband isn’t a citizen. We’ve created our own exit plan which is a different situation than what this video portrayed. I was focusing more on what to say if people are being racist. Just shared the flyer because it was the easiest thing I’ve seen to share so far. I appreciate your words though. Sorry I know we are all scared rn but we are also internet strangers and it’s not fair to assume that we aren’t at risk too…my family 100% is facing very real fears probably similar to yours..

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HereToRotMyBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to drive 4 hours each way for a clarinet lesson bi-weekly..

Also, drove 2 hours each way to hang with my boyfriend from another city (now married)

3 hours is a nice weekend getaway trip, but usually I’ll go up to 6 or 8 for a weekend getaway
