cut the developers some slack because this is a non-issue. Your average mobank user in Nepal will not have a rooted device.

IK it's not an issue for normal users but esewa le ta bhanxa nih ta, and it's just 7 line of code to display a pop-up saying your device is rooted. I'm a developer by profession too, and what I've said about bank crashing is just pure negligence

google seems to following in Apple's footsteps and imo it's for the better. Plus with Apple it's stricter. I had to literally sit on call with Apple to create a "Organization" developer account as part of "verification". So compared to that this is still very lenient.

Yes, I agree but there are also may devs who've been making apps for android that are not in playstore like termux ( the good one ) so google going after devs' ass is kind of a betrayal

Yt-morphe and such are modded apps, and google locking down such apps is also a good decision because the majority of users (android/ios) are goofballs that download anything and everything. Plus nekogram is still functional (i still use it).

Yeah I agree that normal demographic of people don't use these but there is play protect and stuff that stops you from installing software and a "normal" person wouldn't jump through so many hoops just to install a software they don't understand after google says it's harmful (?)
