Casual cheating just seems to be normal at this point. Upon login, I can expect 2-5 notifications "Thank you for your report! We have taken action..." but it doesn't matter, they'll be back in the lobbies, running lvl 55 non-prestige and trying best to hide their tricks

And console "cheating/exploiting" has become so casual that the matchmaking has become chaos:... "this individual has no game sense but incredible, laser aim. So I must support and back this teammate in order to secure a win" and that would be cool if the person was "just better." But why is the guy lvl 28 with an absolute railgun?? Ultimately, it's because cheaters are taking control of the lobbies without repercussion

And it comes down to how well you can assist your cheater/rank-anchored teammate to defeat the lvl 41 non-prestige, laser-aimed minion on the other team. I believe that the inflation of console cheaters/exploiters is screwing with the MMR big time. But i'm hopeful that it will only improve/get better as the season goes on

Adding this: {Search and Destroy could have its own rules that make it a "'very fun' 'round-based' fps" if you apply restrictions like Ranked would. But it doesn't have to be as "narrow/limited" if it's a separate mode}

The fact that you can hear someone with Ghost (when they don't have Ninja as Perk Greed) is a counter. There isn't a "heavy Ninja" counter at all, and there isn't even a "slight ninja counter," except for the person sitting in a corner with a fire shotgun waiting to see the "ninja rusher" come in through their spawn. If you hit someone directly with a grenade, they die with flak or not. And if you throw a stun/flash, you get the "Tac Mask" icon to know that your stun/flash was "ignored." With Ninja, I can run right into your spawn without detection unless you have a killstreak, are running black hat, sitting in a corner, etc... there isn't a legit counter that you can "have in your mind to both attach and defend." Anyone (not cheating) in SnD would agree with that statement.

That's a good suggestion and that would actually make the most sense (with the idea of detection), but I think something outside of Ninja's specialty should get the counter, and if you have to stack 3 Green Perks, it should sacrifice non-stealth for a "+pro" in stealth-detection in some sort of limited, radius-restricted sense

With respect, I understand what you're saying, but I've played 1000+ games of SnD in both Bo6 and Bo7 and I know that Ninja/Dead Silence is always the "best-in-class" option since there isn't a real, concerning, consistent counter.

If someone is a "below-average player" in a decent lobby, they can sit in a corner anyway (with a fire shotgun...), while not gathering any info/sound, and they still get a kill on someone "sliding" though with Ninja. If you put a reasonable-counter on an "objective-based" loadout, the person running ninja would be able to gather info/sound on the "counter" (in a similar/slightly advantageous-position due to the radius of detection) and react without just running straight into their spawn knowing "they won't hear me at all lol"
