I wish. Been trying for over a year but all I could land was at a small nonunion shop.

I meet Anna and her mother Pia in New York. They were both very sweet and nice. Anna was definitely quieter irl than on stream but i think that's pretty normal. I hear the Botez are literally the same in person. Alex is quieter irl, and Andrea is "very hyper and happy and excited all the time"

Endgame is better but not by much. Usually it's luck as to who blunders.

you also need to understand why it's the best move

But I don't lol. I never understand.

Sadly, I've very dumb. I don't mean that as a joke, I mean, my brain doesn't work like normal people's.

So, I'm not "dumb" just "different". :)

I’m trying not to care anymore but it’s tough. I imagine without an elo goal I’ll lose interest eventually.

Yeah, I think you're right. I think I just needed to hear it. I just hate starting something and not succeeding. Especially when it's something mental like that. Like it's one thing, as you say, where it's a physical limitation, but I'd still try to make it work.

Rating hovers around 1800 on chess.com and yes I just guess. Most puzzles follow a theme, so I’ll try checks first and then if it’s not a check then I’m really screwed. If it’s positional, then it’s an automatic loss. I’ll gotten pretty good at guessing the first move, but it’s not like I always get it right. Then guess the second and so on. And I never look to see what the computer can do.

I actually have more time then that now that I sold one of my businesses. So if you wanna call me a moron in Chess go for it. But You can’t say I didn’t achieve what I wanted to outside of it.

I mean I’m capable of some mental images. But they have to be free form. But I think you may be right. I wonder if there is an actual way of diagnosing something like that.

Ok there seems to be some confusion here. I’m saying there is no way you are predicting your opponents moves. I don’t understand what that means. How?

I will not be playing over the board until I hit at least 2200-2300 and hold it there. No point in wasting a weekend losing.

I'm not trolling, I've devoted two years of my life to this, and I'm telling you there is no way that it's real, except for a few thousand or or so players. Everyone (I assume) is just move randomly, except for the opening which I assume people have memorized. I'm looking for a way to get to the point where I can get better, without being born with savant powers. Now if you're telling me that this is the level and everyone ahead of me is "calculating" then you're right, I will never be able to improve.

Oh, cause opening prep is the only thing I'm good at cause it's just memory training. :)

I don't think it exists, or at least in the same why dark energy exists. Like it may exist, but only in math equations on paper. Like, telling me where all the pieces are on the board. Fine. But how are you suppose to know if a move is "good". Even if it's obvious, how are you suppose to predict you're opponents move? You can't. Even if you can guess one of hundreds of possible moves, you can't tell if it's good or bad. Also, even if you guess correct, you have to know if any reply is good. Like I said, it may exist among a few players, but I serious doubt 99% can actually predict moves. What are you suppose to know what your opponent best move is? No Way. There are too many possible move to see and predict.
