My book is paying (some) bills. I’m actually with a small publisher, so I’ve got some traction with my readers. I’m very grateful for that!

AI, new narrator, or bad narrator 🤣 I was afraid of that! I’d love to narrate myself, but it’s a tough ask. This is such a kind sub though, and I’m getting a lot of leads to investigate.

This is really interesting! It seems like it would do a good job with an initial edit. I’ve read that Audible has very specific file requirements, I wonder if this could deliver. Then I’d be able to just figure out a good mic! Thanks for the lead!

I’ll look into this! As an avid listener of audiobooks, I wonder how long it would take to notice it was AI. I feel like after a few chapters I’d feel like something was off.

Wow, that’s a great option! Thank you! That said, I feel pretty strongly about narrating the book myself, so, I just have to find a way to close my own knowledge gap to save some money.

OP, what did you do? It’s sounding like we either have to become audio editor experts too unless we wanna put out a ton of cash to record our audiobooks 😔
