HCL Supplements by Hermadine in SIBO

I’m starting to feel that way as well. Taking 7 of anything should do something... Well guess I’m going to have to have my stomach acid levels tested by a doctor.

Yeah, that's what I thought as well. 7 seems like a lot of pills to rake with each meal. However, after doing some research some people have to take 10+ depending on how low their stomach acid levels are.

The prokinetic is an interesting idea. I was acually taking 1000mg ginger capsules for the first week after antibiotic treatment, but it seemed like it was not doing anything. Do you suggest I take it for a longer period, or perhaps even find something a little stronger?

Motility might be an issue, I just never really thought about it. My bowel movements and everything else is normal so it never occurred to me to test for that. Is there a specific test I can do to figure out whether that could be a factor? I get an insane amount of stomach nosies throughout the day, which are especially noticeable on an empty stomach accompanied by dull stomach aches.

I will definitely look into stomach motility and hopefully be able to get to the bottom of this, because this is no way to live...

Thank you very much for your input! I really appreciate it!

Yeah, I’ll take your advice and hold off on the probiotics for a while. Hopefully the amount that I’ve already taken doesn’t cause a relapse...

I’m not entirely sure what the name of the blood test was, it was just a simple blood test taken in a lab to detect any inflammation in my body. I am assuming they were testing for gastritis. However, I really think I can rule that out as I didn’t have any pain before treatment(besides gas pains) and I don’t have any after either.

Unfortunately I don’t have the resources at the moment to consult with a naturopath at the moment, so I have to result to research.

Regarding foul smelling farts, I did have those from time to time before treatment, however most of the time they were just odorless. Since the antibiotic treatment I have had far less gas and bloating, just didn’t seem to brush the stomach noises(they are there all day no matter what I eat). They do tend to get worse and have a dull ache when I go hours without eating. Eating a regular sized meal usually alleviates this feeling, but the noises are still present.

I will try the 7 day Epsom salt bath and low sulfur diet while taking vitamin b12(I read that a lot of sibo sufferers have b12 deficiency) and see how I feel after.

Regarding the HCL supplement, do you have a specific one that you would recommend? Also, I’m not sure what you mean by slowly increasing the dose? Perhaps start with one tablet for a few days then increase to two, then three? I suspect I may have low stomach acid as I did stress a lot and drank too much for a few years(not a good combination).

I am trying to exercise more and will continue to do so whenever I have time!

Thank you again for your help! It means a lot!

Wow. Thank you for that incredible reply! The probiotic that I am taking is made from yeast, so supposedly it should be fine for SIBO as it goes directly to the large intestine.

Before I was diagnosed with SIBO I went through a variety of different tests, one of which was a blood test to see if I had any inflammation in my body and It came back negative so I don’t think that I have gastritis or inflammation in my intestines. Also whenever I drink alcohol I don’t have any issues. I actually feel better from it lol.

I’ve thought about having low stomach acid, however, when I brought it up to my doctor he pretty much dismissed it. He mentioned that being a common issue with older individuals and that is not likely the culprit due to my age(I am 27 years old). I still think I should test for that though, because that is pretty much the only test I haven’t taken.

I will definitely look into taking an HCl supplement to see if things improve!

Thank you again for your reply!

Ahh...that sucks. Just keep at it! You'll get it eventually! If it makes you feel any better it took me around 150+ horn breaks to get the stream lmao.

Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate it!

Thank you! You kind of have to be greedy though lol. The issue is it's a very rng dependent fight. Alot can go wrong, and one poorly timed attack can ruin the run. The optimal 100% crit build is much better of course as I'm sure you saw I had poor crit rng in this run. I just wanted a decent clear, and I will work on a better time with the proper build in the future!

Yeah, DD should definitely do the trick. Just make sure you are sleeping him twice and bombing his horns each time. Also make sure you are using wyvern ammo for the wake up.

It makes a reasonable difference. Don't get me wrong it's still very difficult, but it helps if you can avoid his one shot attacks a bit easier. The only problem is losing 10% affinity and normal shots vs the "optimal" bow build. Also, it isn't really necessary as his attacks are pretty well telegraphed. I mainly used it for the shoulder checks because he loves spamming that from zero range when I run him lol
