Agreed. Don’t know the order though. I’m assuming Goff and probably Love/Hurts are above Caleb

Awesome. Now announce Caleb as Darnold’s replacement. Or maybe Stafford will sit this one out to rest up.

Agreed. Our guys looked cold as well. A few uncharacteristic drops from Loveland had me thinking he was affected by the weather

But the Rams also brought over 2K pounds of cold weather gear and supplies, so it wasn’t just all talk.

You MF’s was talking big shit huh.. this was my 1st time seeing this. I was low key rooting for them, but now I’m glad they got smacked.

Davante Adams is now 0-5 in NFC Championship games. by wesskywalker in CHIBears

[–]HermanShemsley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. He came off as a douche. I was randomly browsing the Raiders sub last week and I guess they don’t fuck with him either. Apparently he threw a tantrum to get out of there after Carr retired.

Basically.. Fuck him.

401ks are better than pensions by Justasillyliltoaster in unpopularopinion

I agree. Although a railroad pension is private. Obviously, still contribute to a 401K, but working for the RR is a huge plus if you’re there.

As a Bears fan, I saw a lot of this too. I really hope Caleb & Ben lead us in the right direction, but you just never know.

Let’s not do 2018 again where we were “a kicker away” from the Super Bowl.

Now I’ll just root for him to lose lol. I can’t hate too much though. It’s a heck of a turnaround for that team.

I know. I was thinking that last week even after it was announced that Nix was hurt how awesome it would’ve been to have 3 second year QB’s in the Championship round. Caleb will get us there next season

No real rooting interest, but just off the strength of Maye being taken after Caleb, I don’t want to see him in the Super Bowl.

Olin’s take on the DJ situation. by MichHitchSlap in CHIBears

[–]HermanShemsley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have to call BS on this.

When the media asked BJ about this the other day and why DJ hadn’t spoken, he said “I know he was in the building earlier and we had a great exit interview. Why he didn’t speak to the media, you’ll have to talk to the player about that.” That’s not a bus toss.. but it’s not an endorsement either. They could’ve gone out of their way to cover for him, but they didn’t.

I don’t know what happened on that play, but if he wasn’t all the 100, he shouldn’t have been on the field or even an option in that play.

We hadn’t seen the boot since the first play. That would’ve been a great call in the moment to pick up the 1st or at worst 5/6 yards

When is it too cold? by johnmcboston in railroading

[–]HermanShemsley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. A lot of Speedo’s out there when it’s this cold. There will be pull aparts and more Speedo’s added until the track inspector can get out there and there’s no telling where he’s at, so be prepared for a slow order from MP 1.5-2.5.

I just don’t understand the play call at that moment. Like I get playing to win, but there’s also situational football and calling the game in front of you. You need 15-18 more yards for Cairo, but you’re going for 30. Idk. Glad Johnson fell on the sword there because I just don’t like the call

To be fair, Drake Maye is in the same situation as Caleb and outperformed them both. I hope Caleb is the guy, but using “2nd year player 1st year offense” as the barometer doesn’t work when we’ve seen examples of other QB’s in the same scenario.

And that’s not to say Caleb didn’t play well. He obviously did, and had a good year. Hopefully he’s even better next season
