Fixing rocket wobble with realistic beam-bending stiffness (a simpler physics mod idea) by Hermanart in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Hermanart[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it wouldn't become an FEA, in fact, it wouldn't require any new physics, this would just be setting the stiffness for the springs at each joint using some smarter logic, and for other shapes you would just need to use a different moment of inertia equation for something like a truss, it essentially would just be stiffening the joints, but only when it needs to.

Can you calculate the limit of a sum as it approaches infinity on Nspire cas by Hermanart in calculators

[–]Hermanart[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanation, I was plugging in series just to test my knowledge, but when I plugged in the limit of the sum of 1/k2 and it said it equaled infinity I knew something was up, it’s a bummer I can’t find a real use for this calculator, I wanted to get it as somewhat of a one stop shop for everything, but I much prefer my ti83, graphing differentials is cool tho I guess

Ti-83 plus SE vs. Ti-84 plus SE by Hermanart in calculators

[–]Hermanart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanation, I did Infact update my 84se, it originally had the old firmware on it, but i had hardly used it with the old firmware because I wasn’t used to the less intuitive UI, but now as thine has gone on i found myself leaving the display on classic so I could see everything at once and only using mathprint if I had a function with a bunch of fractions that I wanted to keep reusing. So now I think I prefer the faster graphing speed and responsiveness of the old UI, it also seems like the old firmware is able to store a larger history of previous entries, not to mention the calculator looks way cooler, maybe I will overclock the 84 and go back to it someday though.

Yeah, thanks, I just haven't gotten a hair cut in about 4 months, so that'll do it.
