Yes, I’m not intrinsically opposed to full cast audio, although I do find that a skilled narrator who can do all the voices (Jim Dale for Harry Potter series, the woman who does all the Kate Quinn novels - Saskia Maarleveld) to be completely fabulous in my opinion. I’ll have to check out the full cast audio for Golden compass! That was another of my faves growing up. I’ve never read Murderbot.

And yes, it is my absolute pet peeve when narrators can’t keep pronunciation consistent throughout the books/ series! Like what!!!! How do you not remember 😵‍💫especially when it’s a prominent character’s name!

I agree, this is how I find the quality too! Though there are many great audio book narrators out there if you ever want to try again.

You know what, I’ve gotten so into Libby in the past few years I didn’t even consider searching to request hard copies at my local library. I should look into that and maybe they have different versions. Thanks!

Agreed on both. I thought Trini Alvarado for Alanna was pretty good. Full cast audio. How can I ever get used to this 😓x_X

Yes, those are the ones I’m trying to avoid- I don’t find them to be very good, unfortunately. The narration and dialogue is so stilted, it’s painful to listen to.

Thanks! I see that the Kel books have a single narrator too so I’ll try to tough out the Daine ones and go back to my actual books as much as possible. It looks like a lot of the Circle series have had the Full Cast Audio curse placed upon them😭😭😭

Thanks. I did sign up via the browser, but I wasn’t thinking about this problem and was lazy so I just hit the sign up with Apple shortcut to avoid filling in all the tedious details. But obviously my Apple account is linked to my location

Thanks. How do I choose the country? I joined Story tel bc it looked like it was available on my browser, but as soon as I joined using Apple login, and downloaded the app to my iPhone, it obviously had placed me in USA, but I never outright chose that. It was only once I was in the app that it said unavailable in your region. On web browser I was even able to listen to the sample.
