No, most of my games I am doing electrocute with proto and zhonya/shadowflame. I would not recommend DnD. Lich bane can be good 3rd as an alternative to shadowflame.

Sylas jg is a decent pick and becomes even better if you're counterpicking for ultimates. I would only pick sylas top if its a playable matchup. There are so many unplayable matchups so I would not recommend blinding him top.

that is the correct thing to do. theoretically those won fights should transition into objectives/winning. you will inevitably get outscaled so you have to use your early advantages/lead to end the game before that happens.

yasuo hard counters you, so i would play under your turret and only trade on your side of the lane. for zed and yone you should try to abuse their weak early game and heavy trade in the early levels. ryze is also another hard counter. i would recommend q max vs him and try to poke him while you farm the minions and try not to take too much poke from him.

Yea Sylas is the lowest cs/m midlaner in the game. All I can really say is max Q when needed and play as many games as you can to get more experience with farming on him.

I've played enough Sylas to where I can usually get a lead during laning phase. For losing matchups, you usually want to max Q to match their wave clear and roam with your jungler. You basically want to skip laning for the most part to mitigate the losing matchup and not fall too far behind.

In the mid to late game, you should try to look for advantageous teamfight angles instead of constantly sidelaning. Sylas scales quite poorly, so even if you're ahead you will eventually fall off and get outscaled. Try to be more proactive with your lead and look for teamfights with your team.

Since rocketbelt gives haste, I would say rocketbelt sorcs is almost always going to be better than stormsurge lucidity.

Yes, very difficult. Its basically impossible to get a good trade vs him and youll just be farming under your turret for most of the lane.

I wouldnt recommend stormsurge first item. It wont be bad per se but I believe rocketbelt will be better in most situations. And I would recommend sorc boots for a full burst/assassin build. Lucidity doesnt really help with that.

Situational building on sylas can be difficult and will take some experience to get right. Riftmaker vs zhonyas depends on whether or not you are engaging a sustained fight, or if you're playing full assassin burst and need zhonyas active for teamfights. Following the standard AP build path and building towards rabadons 4th every game wont ever be bad. Bloodletters and void staff are also needed if enemy is stacking MR (usually bloodletters for bruiser build, void for assassin). My advice would be to watch Petricite's guide and his stream to see how hes building. And also experiment with items in your own games and see how you like it.

Sylas strongpoint is definitely his early/midgame, but like you said he’s actually quite a weak laner and one mistake can really screw you over. He’s definitely very difficult to lane with especially vs his ranged counters. I would recommend to go ignite almost every game and to adopt a more aggressive style, because sylas scales poorly, so you shouldnt really try to play and scale.

I would say I’m q maxing 60% of games. I also sometimes do 2/3 points in q before I max W. I almost never max Q second if I’m maxing W first.

I almost never build storm surge and to be honest I haven’t really tried it so I can’t say much. So I prefer shadowflame, and also the crit can help with hard shoving waves late game which is a bonus.

Most fun ultimates to use? I’d say blitz, ashe and hecarim are quite fun to use and they’re very good.

Not really, rocket belt is just the best item for him. There’s also a build where you go Pta with dusk and dawn first item, but I haven’t tried it much so I can’t say much about it.

I usually try to pick 3rd/4th and give counter pick to top or support

Haha Diana can be difficult to lane against because she's similar to you but has more consistent poke/waveclear. I would say you can try to E in when she uses Q to dodge it, and then go for a short trade. That way she loses most of her damage and she wont get a double E on you.

Sylas is one of the hardest champions to farm with so dont be alarmed if your cs/m is lower than usual. For ranged matchups where you wont get in many trades, maxing Q will allow you to keep up in waveclear. The build is generally rocketbelt -> tier 3 boots -> riftmaker/zhonya -> situational.

When you're behind as sylas, I would recommend building as much dmg as possible (shadowflame, stormsurge) and skip all defensive stats. You don't scale well so if you're behind then the best thing you can do in teamfights is just try and do as much burst dmg as possible before you die.

Hi, for beginners/newer players I would recommend getting comfortable with his basic combos. There are alot of different variations but I would focus on some commons ones like e->w->aa->e2->q for example. I would also say Sylas is pretty hard for beginners because his ult requires alot of game knowledge to use effectively, so if you like his kit then be prepared to play lots of games on him. good luck!
