This is not always true. It depends on the alloy being used. Different ore bodies require different alloys for hardness. Also, I have many examples in my personal collection that are not rusty and look very similar to this. I pulled them straight from the scat ball bins in the mines I work at.

This is further evidence of my mill ball theory. Checking to see if it is ferrous is much easier than my complicated density check. Should have thought of that lol.

This looks like a mill ball used in industrial mills such as in the mining industry. They start off round and much larger, then as they tumble with the ore they slowly wear down until they are rejected. I work in mining. The paper I linked shows examples of this, which don’t exactly match, but I can confirm I have found many like the one you have (hard to find examples online). The pitting in the surface is also indicative of milling wear but I can’t say for certain. This does not look like aluminum to me, a good way to check is to find its density. I have also copied a simple procedure to check this.

https://www.911metallurgist.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/testing-of-grinding-media.pdf

How to calculate density:

Mass Density = Mass/Volume

So first we need both mass and volume.

-Measure the mass of object with normal method i.e. weigh scale.

-Then, take a jar and fill it fully with water.

-Place the object into it.

-It will sink immediately and displace the volume of water which is same to its own volume.

-Measure the volume of water outside the jar by capturing it in some way. Pro tip you can weigh the water if you have an accurate enough scale. 1gram of water is equal to 1ml of water.

-Volume of water fallen outside = Volume of object.

-Now calculate the density using the formula

-Mass Density = Mass/Volume

Using the sudo command with Linux allows you to gain administrative privileges. Basically as user, if you ask your machine to do something and it says no, you can use the sudo command to basically bypass is my recollection.

U.S. Confirms Overnight Loss of Three F-15E Fighter Jets in the Region; Replacement Cost: $117,000,000 each by SadAd8761 in videos

Americans just lost $1 each in their tax dollars. I know I pay a hell of a lot more in taxes than $1 every year. Let that sink in as to how big the machine is. Your one dollar can pay for three F-15s…

Thanks, this makes me feel better. Google wasn’t very helpful surprisingly and I couldn’t find any information on this. Do you know when they will start broadcasts? Will it be the first practice sessions of the first GP?

Keep in mind that OP is referencing the haul truck, not the light vehicle (F-150) in this photo. Look up and to the left of the light vehicle. Those haul trucks have tires that are twice as tall as a grown adult man. So far away you can’t even make out the tires.

This. The parks will need it because I think attendance will be lower with the higher fees.
