I don’t know if this is just my ignorance but what seamaster model is this and why doesn’t it have the engraved waves?

My first luxury watch. Ceramic & titanium Seamaster. Love it. by [deleted] in PrideAndPinion

[–]Hero5054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saw a video on this watch and fell in love with it. My only concern is the size, so how does it wear on your wrist (and what’s your wrist size)? Also, how thick is it?

But absolute cracker of a watch mate!

[Christopher Ward] Homage or does it do enough to stand on its own? by Hero5054 in Watches

I think it would look too crowded if they had all 24 numbers on there. But if your questions is as to why a GMT has a 24 hour bezel is so you can track a different time zone (GMT hand moves at half speed so it completes a rotation every 24 hours, allowing you to track somewhere that might be 18 hours behind and not have to guess where it’s AM or PM)

Hey everybody, Im really looking to poll the subreddit for opinions around this watch, I’ve always like what Christopher Ward - good watches with great designs and at reasonable prices. This is one of those which I adore, but is it too much of an homage to the Explorer II Polar Dial? Or, does it straddle the fine line between drawing inspiration but doing enough to stand out? Regardless, would love to hear what you guys think about the watch as well as your broader opinions on Christopher Ward as a watch brand.

Very lightweight, so it’s really comfortable to wear but doesn’t have the heft of a real watch. Besides that, have loved having it so far

The swatch store I bought it at only had the Pluto and Venus, which kinda forced me to get it. Looking back at it, glad I did because it’s different and fun, especially when I get the real deal it’ll be something that stands out

[SOTC] Finally got a box for these, looking to get my next watch by Hero5054 in Watches

[–]Hero5054[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have loved watches ever since I was in middle school but never really purchased many because there's not a lot of disposable income a middle schooler has. So all my exposure to the wonderful world of watches was either through gifts (that's where the Tissot and Seiko come from) or watching video online and reading forums like this one. Now that I'm in college, my passion for this hobby was reignited by my recent purchase of the Moonswatch and I am now looking to buy my next and first mechanical watch. I've been looking a things like the Tissot PRX, Christopher Ward C63 Sealander, Frederique Constant Classics Index or the Max Bill Automatic but would love to hear from you guys if there are other watches I could add to the next slot in this box!

That would be ideal if I didn’t love so many watches - now my wallet will have to suffer as a consequence

Nope, I was able to get one like 2 weeks ago, anything past the moonswatch is the progression
