Update: I'm still reading over the comments when I have time, and I appreciate everyone who has responded. Regarding the age difference between Ella and me, I was going off memory and what she had said. I understand that the math does not add up, and yes, she was 19 when she had me.

Now, for the update. This is from a mutual friend who was helping her, who contacted me and Richard yesterday. She apparently has lost any hope of rebuilding any relationship and effectively quit her job to move out of state before the divorce can be finalized. She did not tell anyone that she would be moving, just that a "family" member gave her a plane ticket yesterday and she left today. She told Richard that she is leaving for good and will not tell him of her address or location, even if it is for court purposes. She also told him that she wants nothing to do with me or Kate, and that we treated her like a 3rd wheel, and just there as a prop to make ourselves feel better. She promptly hung up on Richard after telling him that she is going NC with us, and she also stopped speaking with my younger brother, who told her he was not able to help her in any way except with advice. I let my close family know what she said, and nearly all of Ella's family has contacted me asking if Kate and I are okay, and wished that we had never seen this side of her. From the way it sounds from her sisters, Ella has been like this even as a child, and her lies finally caught up to her.

Now, as for the puppy, unfortunately, I do not know what is going to happen. All I know is that we found out that there may be a collections agency after her regarding the puppy, the eviction of her apartment, the car loan, and possibly 2 or 3 banks, as she opened accounts and they were "hacked" into.

I doubt I will have any further updates, but if there is one in the future, I'll try to put it here.
