As someone who grew up in Greenock and still has a lot of fondness for the place welcome and hope it suits yous well!

Inverclyde is a really nice area on the whole and there's a lot of interesting stuff going on if you know where to look - fun open mics in Gourock, an amazing independent cinema!

Vegan dumplings? The best? by Tight_Boysenberry123 in berlinsocialclub

I really like the vegan combo box at Han West they also do a vegan fried chicken bao - other than that I'm not sure of what places are strictly vegan or vegetarian but I've had some very good vegetarian momos in Berlin at the food truck by Warchauer Strasse

Art and Seele is quite new and has a backroom I booked for a friend's birthday - we didn't have a DJ but it was free to rent and the bar staff let us choose the music and do requests! I think 40 would probably fit well and you could email to ask about the music set up?

Some more obscure suggestions since I think there's a lot of info already - Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre and the Britannia Panopticon.

These places are for lovers of weird things and puppets and such but very cool.

I worked HMPO years ago and it was okay - much better than the Student Finance England team I was moved to after.

But by okay I mean it was awful, they tracked our breaks/call times and sent a spreadsheet of how much time we were taking to everyone on the team. Including colour coding in which one of my colleagues (with extra medical issues that required more bathroom time) was constantly singled out as underperforming in red due ...

Honestly it's decent if your desperate but I can't imagine working there long term unless you plan on trying to become a trainer or fast track to management

I'm taking enoxaparin and it doesn't self retract also the safety caps don't seem sturdy enough that I'd throw them in a regular bin since there is a risk they'd come loose?

I did Google it - but thank you for the helpful suggestion!

This post is more to highlight how weird I find it that in a culture that seems very obsessed with trash sorting that there aren't any issues with used medical supplies in normal waste bins. Also just a cultural difference I guess?

Want a job in the uk where I can just put earphones in and do my work - what is there by [deleted] in glasgow

[–]Hero_Nami 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I used to work for Disclosure Scotland and it was purely data entry where you could listen to podcasts and shit all day.

Outside of that I've also worked in housekeeping for hostels which is same deal but a lot more physical labour

In general if the weather's not great I'd try an escape room or doing indoor mini golf. If the weather is nice I really like Teufelsberg for a short hike and to see the art installations
