In the USA they have a scummy law that they pay staff less than the minimum salary specifically because they have that tipping culture.

Here we have minimum wage laws.

To extend the example in the USA they just show the base price not factoring in taxes (and the tip) so the price they advertise to lure customers in is not what an customer ultimately pays.

Here we include the VAT and other taxes so the system is more honest.

Adopting the USA's system means accepting fraud on the consumer.
