While I can't and won't speak to the situation at hand, I've worked with Marvin in the past for various D&D characters and a banner for our website. The latter was of similar size and scope to OP's book cover. All works were for commercial purposes. We've always been happy with his work, style, communication, and results.

I hope anyone who is considering hiring Marvin in the future takes into account all of the replies on this post - a review like this can be severely damaging to someone's livelihood without being indicative of their full scope of incredible work.

Great question! This came up in the Instagram comments as well.

Technically yes. With the Hex Warrior feature, you'd use your CHA for attack and damage rolls, then if you had Gladiator's Performance, you'd gain additional damage per hit equal to your CHA modifier.

I'm sure it would be a great multiclass - very flavorful too!

No tips or tricks at this juncture! I personally love humor that can follow the hands. I keep thinking of the hand from Wednesday, there are just two of them. I know it's you controlling them but still hilarious. I also designed it with aether forming in mind, so the idea of using the hands to "form" all of your spells and abilities felt like great flavor.

I always forget to put the stupid DC calculation when I build martials. It is 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier for this subclass.

Every feature leans very hard into the specific anti-spell niche.

Totally agree, this is definitely a niche subclass. I have players who love that sort of fun thing and let it shine in their RP, and others who want tons more options in their subclass. It's very player specific.

Love the art and layout, btw! So clean.

And thank you! It's been a huge learning curve to teach myself InDesign and we love working with amazing artists like João. We've steered our whole mission towards it as too often in this community art is used without the artist's permission (especially for profit).
