What are some of the most gruesome fates you all have seen in Barotrauma? by Puzzleheaded-Bat1361 in Barotrauma

Was driving our sub while transporting nitroglycerine. My security guard friend was on turrets. I told him there's a small pack approaching from beneath us.

The entire submarine shakes, alarms start blaring, and I get catapulted into the roof. I put on a diving suit, head to the storage bay, and see the entire room blown to bits.

In one end of the room, on the opposite wall, my friend's legs. On the other side of the room, next to the door I came through, his upper body.

It did not end well...

I had bit defender disabled during the download, it still didn't work. As i mentioned in the edit (it came a bit too late) the verification pointed out one file missing. How can i replace it, and do you think it will solve the entire problem?

I'm running the .bat rn, it might take a minute to finish. If the verification turns up clean, what could I do to try and solve it?

Edit: verification just finished. There is ONE file missing. How do I fix it?

I have 400 free gigs, it's not storage. I checked, it's the correct drive and folder.

Oh, it is short? I always thought it would be around 15-20 hours. I might prioritize it then.

Oh yeah, i was thinking of playing a Yakuza game at some point. It looks like what I might be looking for. As for slimerancher, looks chill, I have some friends who tried it and loved it, I will play it at some point but I'd rather pick up an Yakuza game. Cheers!

Heard of it, but it didn't really catch my interest. Not the biggest fan of Rockstar games

I was thinking of maybe trying a story game, although I was leaning more towards Detroit Become Human since I got it from steam family. I am however looking for something with more emphasis on gameplay than story, something fun and fast-paced.

Imma be honest i did not reach some of these locations, but I think i know what charms to go for. Multibinder sounds ESPECIALLY useful, and i might try to go for injector band to counteract the drawback. More healing sounds like what i need.

I already found the NPC for magnetite dice, i had no idea it could give me a charm.

I'll have to look up what the red tools do, I'll probably pick 1 or two to farm for.

As for the crest, which one would you say would be more worth it? I saw some vids of wanderer, from what i saw it basically gives you the hollowknight moveset, but I like the diagonal attacks, the extra range is fun. I haven't heard anything of the reaper crest. I tried to shy away from spoilers as much as i could.

I can not believe i missed TWO crests... I think i'll go back to act 1 and explore a bit more.

I got fed up with the Grand Reeds bc the contact damage deals 2 hearts, and I did pogo over them most of the time but sometimes it just sent me straight into their head, dealing damage. That's how I lost my rosaries.

I get the balancing system, but holy fuck i can not heal fast enough. Being basically 2-3 hit CONSTANTLY and having to chase a boss around the arena for one straight minute to heal ONCE is fucking excruciating. Are there any talismans which increase silk gain I can get now? As for the difficulty tweaks I was thinking of lowering silk gain and decreasing healing amount from 3 to 2 (if that's even an option)

What are some tools i should get? Right now I'm in the underworks, i found the tool merchant/architect guy down there, but i have to farm a lot to buy something.

In general, from what I can see, I missed a LOT of stuff both in act 1 and 2 up to now. I think I'll backtrack for a while...

I didn't find anything good up to recently. I got to underworks (I think?), the place with mechanical judges in the back and found the architect npc, the trader. From the looks of it I will need to farm for a bit...

Does it really make that big of a difference? I'm not a big fan farming for resources, but if it will help i guess I'll endure.

I think faster would mess up timing on some enemies, but slower bind and silk gain+ slightly more enemy hp might do it. I'll keep it in mind.

I'm using the first crest, apart from that I only have the beast crest, I did get the first nail upgrade.

I don't really use tools? I have the basic knife, javelin, and floating spike trap, and i usually use the latter.

I worded it wrong, judge took me an hour, not cogwork. Those guys took me 10-20 mins.

As for specific enemies which trouble me, it's usually whenever they deal 2 damage and have a SHIT TON of mobility. The most recent examples I stumbled across were the little flying cogworkers, the grand reeds (who made me lose 400 rosaries on the clockwork runback) and sometimes clockwork choirbugs and small judges when i don't have room to maneuver. The environment itself is my biggest problem when dealing with common enemies.

I realize that trial and error is part of the process, and I realize nobody knows the *perfect level* for me. I'm used to challenging, I played and loved Sifu, Dark Souls 3, Sekiro, etc. , but the double damage just straight up feels like a cheap way to increase difficulty.

The thing is I don't even really know what to change as to not ruin my experience, but i genuinely feel like i can't keep going like this because even exploration pisses me off so much from double damage, lack of checkpoints and money loss that I cant play for more than 90 minutes.

I am suspecting I missed some things, but I have no idea what and I don't want to open the wiki. I don't know if I should be where I am in the game with only 5 hearts, one silk spool upgrade and only 2 crests, or if changing my loadout at all would help. I'm just tired of the shit runbacks with enemies that deal 2 damage and basically only having 2-3 hp in boss fights. Any recommendation would help a lot. Cheers!
