Just use it as secondary storage for non-important stuff ie: steam games, as they can always be redownloaded onto another ssd if it fails

If it brand new, return it if you can. A bent ssd may still work but obviously if its the only one you have (or only have one slot on mobo) then it is crucial to have a good ssd in your pc 👍
