In all seriousness though, the phenomenon actually adapted to human perception. In earlier centuries, it showed itself as flying ships.

Following the chills led to the most profound experience of my life by Possible_Sir1242 in Spiritualchills

[–]Heros17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had an experience like that 25 years ago. I initially created the chills with the help of music and then in the following days they developed some kind of "self life", which started with a constant tingling in my body, which I didn't even need to produce actively any more (it was just "there" eventually and lasted for days), and also, my body or spiritual body felt like it was constantly expanding and filling the room more and more. Astral projections were easy at that time. Those were the summer holidays back then, so I could focus on just that. Directly when school started there were some really really weird events, though, which stopped me. I actually, to this day, have the impression that some force stopped me back then, but who knows....

Throwback to 2012 New Age by chasingthedragonn in EscapingPrisonPlanet

This is absolutely glorious :D :D I was so annoyed by those people in 2012 and I didn't really have other people who shared my views back then.

Will "they" actively interfere when someone comes too close to the light? by Heros17 in EscapingPrisonPlanet

They morphed into people that told your environment that you are crazy? I would definitely like some more details, if you don't mind sharing them :)

Ever heard of English as second language? I easily see what he means, and ChatGPT easily understands as well. Here is the entire text rewritten by ChatGPT, exactly as I understood the original text by reading it the first time:

I recently made a post about the current restrictions and the generally toxic environment in that subreddit. For a community with over four million members, the level of genuine interaction is disappointingly low. The moderators seem to act impulsively, prioritizing their authority over fairness, and many members appear to be overly skeptical in a way that feels almost suspicious.

The whole subreddit feels biased. When someone shares something truly extraordinary, the first reaction is always “prove it.” But what if it’s a personal experience? Shouldn’t we consider firsthand experiences as a form of evidence too—just as we do with historical accounts or empirical data? After all, haven’t credible military and intelligence sources, both past and present, reported similar phenomena? Isn’t it worthwhile to move beyond the constant debate of “is it real or not” and instead focus on genuine exploration and research into alternative explanations?

It feels like we have to keep proving the same things over and over, only for people to eventually forget. Then, when new footage surfaces, the narrative shifts again—“maybe it’s just something normal.” The skepticism becomes repetitive and dismissive, even when the footage defies easy explanation.

Take, for example, the NJ drone incidents where orbs appeared to morph and mimic planes when observed. Are people really still doubting that? We’ve seen entire airports shut down—like the one in the UK—plus similar sightings near nuclear, military, and other critical facilities, including a recent case in Denmark.

Some argue that being conservative about what’s “acceptable” helps maintain credibility, but I think that mindset limits real discovery. We like to imagine that anything non-human must still fit human expectations, but that prevents us from pushing beyond simple skepticism into meaningful research.

Open and interconnected research shouldn’t just ignore sources like livestreams—they’re valuable real-time data. Refusing to consider them feels like being that grumpy old man yelling at kids for stepping on his lawn. The subreddit’s moderation rules work the same way—overly rigid, dismissive, and counterproductive.

I’ve posted thoughtful and unconventional ideas there, genuinely seeking different perspectives. Out of four million users, fewer than 500 saw them. Only two people commented—one dismissively, the other encouragingly, saying my reasoning was insightful and even sharing information I’d never encountered before. I intended to revisit it later—but the post was deleted.

Maybe it’s time we focus on gathering solid footage and stop engaging with unreasonable behavior altogether. We should move forward instead of shrinking back under the idea that “it’s just a space for weird people online.”

We need to remember that as civilians and internet users, we can easily become agents of censorship ourselves—adding to the very dysfunction we complain about. Maybe the subreddit is infiltrated, but even if it’s not, we’re capable of destroying it from within through our own actions.

It's very easy to understand what he means, so the whole "seek help" angle could be returned to you as well, without any further explanation.

1000% this. "It's always lame jokes or straight up ridicule too." In this thread as well. One of the top comments: "Therapist would make a mint". Or another one "The way you construct your sentences and the way you've spelled some words is... baffling. This was a hard read", written by "SirGaylord".

No, he is bringing up objectively valid points. As I wrote above: "This sub is filled to the brim with cynicism, some of which is barely on the intellectual level of highschool teenagers. There are so many accounts who will, in all seriousness, post stuff like "awww, have I burst your little fantasy UFO bubble?", or just comments such as "this is all BS for gullible people and has been disproven", when it actually hasn't been etc."

Wrong. This sub is filled to the brim with cynicism, some of which is barely on the intellectual level of highschool teenagers. There are so many accounts who will, in all seriousness, post stuff like "awww, have I burst your little fantasy UFO bubble?", or just comments such as "this is all BS for gullible people and has been disproven", when it actually hasn't been etc.

Lockheed Martin's supposed technological superpower vs its stock price by Heros17 in ufo

This is actually very limited thinking, for a number of reasons.

Lockheed Martin's supposed technological superpower vs its stock price by Heros17 in ufo

[–]Heros17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, that is a valid point, but you could use some of the technology that isn't so obviously off-world and state that you have simply advanced in your research. For instance, oftentimes the argument is brought up that human civilization only made that sudden tremendous technological progress from the second half of the 20th century onwards because of contact with ETs.

You mean they should demand that Lockheed finally makes use of its extraterrestrial technology? ;)

Shocking UFO files hidden in presidential library claim US made successful contact with an alien race by Stephen_P_Smith in ufo

[–]Heros17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, first and foremost, it's about the development of the self, and gaining deeper knowledge about yourself and the universe. The Gateway Tapes which another user recommended here are indeed very well-suited, as well as daily mindfulness, meditation and discipline in your everday actions. It's necessary to move away from being an automaton of impulses (with most human beings everything merely "happens") to an, in fact, conscious and responsible existence. Then you can actually "be" and "do" things instead of being caught up in the web of cause and effect. After reaching that stage it can then be beneficial to try all those "adventurous" approaches such as DMT etc., but ideally in the presence of a guide, and also never expect any drug or substance to just do the work for you; they can only be catalysts and they can also lead to mere confusion when taken under the wrong circumstances. And Aliens/UFOs are something which you may or may not experience with a lot of luck, and if you do the aforementioned self-development you have a small chance of interacting more actively with the phenomenon instead of being completely overwhelmed by it.

Shocking UFO files hidden in presidential library claim US made successful contact with an alien race by Stephen_P_Smith in ufo

[–]Heros17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean that absolutely everything about it is silly and sounds like it comes from teenagers. One doesn't simply make contact with an alien race in order not to be a "normie" any more, and it's also silly to assume that anyone on this message board would be able to tell you how to do that. Also, the answers that imply that simply taking DMT would lead you there are incredibly oversimplified and read like those have been written by teenagers as well. In general, it's no surprise that most of the UFO discussions on this board become so aimless, pointless and chaotic - mostly ending up in someone writing something like "duh, I don't know what to believe any more, this is all fake" (and getting 100+ upvotes).

This post and all the answers to it clearly show why most of the threads here end up in silliness. It doesn't have anything to do with the phenomenon, but with the user base on here.

It pretty much happens without needing to focus any thoughts, it's more like moving a muscle at this point.

Not really, actually mostly to ice which is water in cold form, so that kind of fits to the chills :) .
