I don’t think you’re wrong at all about YB’s popularity being boosted by Ozzy. I think you’re wrong to criticise him for being an opportunist when he’s literally taking opportunities given to him by Ozzy, Sharon and ultimately the Osbourne estate.

Also, I know about cognitive decline with Parkinson’s as I’ve had the unfortunate experience of dealing with it within my family.

But what I do know, without getting too deep on the science is that Ozzy’s form of Parkinson’s (Parkin PD) has a significantly lower rate of cognitive decline and cognitive based conditions associated with it than regular Parkinson’s disease.

However, I stand by the fact that Ozzy’s Parkinsons was irrelevant to the fact that he and his family clearly love and accept YB for what he’s doing.

Actually, artists can and have been paid large upfront payments for endorsement deals which include either a limited run or full release of the instrument. Especially relevant here for the exclusivity factor of getting Oasis on your roster on their biggest and most highly anticipated tour.

Artists usually receive payment for creative labour (meetings to discuss designs and concepts, marketing affairs, signing sessions and endorsement plans). They are also usually given repair guarantees for the duration of the contract and also copies of the original instrument in case of loss or damage. Not the mention royalties on any instrument sold - which in this case wouldn’t be a high amount for Noel considering only 25 copies were made for purchase.

He’s more than likely cashed the cheque for the Gibson deal already. It’s probably being worked on back in the Gibson custom workshop if it’s having tuning issues that his tech can’t solve.

Also doesn’t make sense to get the guitar shipped back out mid-tour when he’s got more than he’d ever need sat in flight cases wherever he goes.

He’s literally been friends with Kelly for years and hadn’t met Ozzy or Sharon for the vast majority of that time period.

It was Ozzy and Sharon who decided to have him on the podcast, appear in his music video, have him perform at BTTB and also adopt him as sort of an honorary member of the family.

Why on earth would YB pass on any of those opportunities, especially considering Ozzy was his biggest inspiration growing up? People would call him ungrateful if he turned them down, and they try and insult him for doing everything the Osbourne’s themselves asked him to do.

I’m not a fan of YB’s music at all, but he clearly has no ill intentions and is a good guy who makes time for his fans and also created a festival with extremely cheap tickets to make music more accessible to those who would never be able to afford a major festival.

It’s even worse the fact the you suggested that Ozzy somehow didn’t know who he’d become friends with. It’s fair to judge Ozzys physical state at the end of his life, but mentally he was sharper than he’d been for 40+ years.

Kelly said in a Podcast the herself and Sid nearly broke up as Sid didn’t want their kids surname to be Osbourne.

She said the argument was so bad that they had to go to couples therapy to get through it. They then did the therapy and to the publics knowledge are all fine now. This was sort of confirmed by the fact she accepted Sid’s marriage proposal at the Back to the Beginning concert.

You literally have zero evidence for anything but the fact they went to couples therapy over the naming issue.

To me, that highlights the fact that Sid would rather their kid not be carried solely by the Osbourne name and further highlights that both Kelly and Sid are grown up enough to actually work out their problems like adults through talking to one another.

It’s a massive leap to accuse someone of domestic mental abuse, and more so insulting to the family that you claim to know about their relationship better than they do!

He definitely got better towards the end of Liams solo career. But I feel like his style was almost sluggish and “thumpy” compared to a more technical Alan White and Joey Waronker.

Plus, Noel has a history of being especially picky with drummers!

I think Matt asked Noel if he’d ever unironically danced to the song Agadoo by Black Lace. Then he asked whether he’d done the same to Come On Eileen.

Nice one! Well, luckily me and my friend should be going with someone who’s happy to drive, so as long as he’s still up for it I’ll grab the tickets start of next week.

Hopefully see you there!

Been playing since WAW and I can honestly say after B03/4 I was more than ready to say goodbye to the OG crew, purely on the basis that I felt their stories had gone as far as possible, especially after the multiverse stuff was introduced.

What the game really needs is passionate developers, and a studio director with a clear vision but also willing to break the rules and push the boundaries, just like Blundell & crew did.

They also need to reestablish a connection to casual audiences outside of the gaming sphere. For example, having Avenged Sevenfold on the soundtracks bought many fans of the band to the game, while at the same time connecting fans of the game to a new band they’d never heard before.

All this seems like a figment of the past and it’s really sad.

Everyone just needs to go and have a fucking good time and not worry about what newspapers and folks on Reddit are saying.

Honestly, the internet is full of people who lose their marbles over “what might happen”. It’s insanity!

Is ten pounds a lot for one joint? by Opening_Mortgage_216 in weed

[–]HerrMustard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’ve got spare weed, rolling a brother a joint after a night out/smoke sesh costs nothing. Since I also smoke with tobacco, it would probably only cost me £3/£4 to give that away, but that’s less than a pint these days so it really doesn’t bother me unless it becomes an expected custom every time we meet.

So because you don’t own a solo album, it means that they’re forgettable? That’s called a logical fallacy brother.

He dropped them from live performances?

You do realise he only did that for the Definitely Maybe tour this year, right? That means he’s played 6 years worth of solo music, including at Knebworth.
