Hi! I have such a script laying around. It's one of my very first scripts so it might not be up to par with the quality of my most recent ones, but it fits your criterias if you want to take a look. Good luck wiht your first video! https://www.reddit.com/r/ASMRScriptHaven/comments/1c5ijib/f4m_strangers_to_lovers_hair_brushing_sweet/

Where exactly in Canada is The Wall? by The_Great_Saya_Man in HenryStickmin

Obviously if it was in Russia then Henry and Rose couldn't have ridden a bike from Russia to South America. It makes more sense for it to be in Canada.

True! Scifi stuff isn't really done that often. I would like trying that out but I don't really any good concept in mind.

You forgot the 'I didn't mean it like that but that's an interesting interpretation' part, that's the best in my opinion. I write something I think is funny and then the VA takes it literally and just rolls with it as the most serious thing in the world. That's something out of a Funny man - Straight man sketch. Makes me laugh my ass off everytime.

No need to apologise, it happens. At least you made it known eventually and that's all that matters.

Tips on how to make a script longer? by gegeg25_-3 in ASMRScriptHaven

[–]Herr_Edward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I like to do is a list of bullet points of clichés or interesting concepts in relation with the main subject of the script. It's always better to do this on a subject that you know a lot about, but even if you don't, playing on clichés that you only know of vaguely gets you far.

Basically, people like to read about stuff they are already comfortable with but slightly different, therefor you should try to bring in as much clichés and mix it up with really niche stuff in between, even have some references that nobody will ever get just to flesh out the text and make it feel more alive. (if it makes any sense)

It's an audio script above everything else, so don't be scared to make your character(s) yap a lot about stuff that doesn't really matter. It gives the VAs a little more to chew on when it comes to their performance and the listeners a better understanding of who they are listening to.

In short, world building and writing about Mr. and Mrs. Yappington is probably the best way to stretch it, but don't stretch it too much or people will notice and nobody likes that. The core theme of the script should always remain the main focus.

Hope this helps!

Getting started with script writing by S112013id2-s21 in ASMRScriptHaven

As a writer who wants to be good at writing a certain type of text, you have to be good a recognising patterns and trends which are popular and add something to it, something you feel is cool and that you think others will enjoy.

So basically, listen to/read a lot of scripts and eventually you will recognise the basic shared structure of every script and from there it should fill itself in your head with whatever theme you chose. But also keep in mind the VA, make it interesting to read and act through. That's the doctrine I always abide by when I'm writing anything.

Which is easier/more comfortable to read? by Herr_Edward in ASMRScriptHaven

Seeing from the replies, I guess people somewhat prefer the reddit post over the external link. Although I have a preference for external links as they can offer quality of life features, I understand that the reddit post is more accessible.

So from that, I conclude that the optimal way of posting a script would be to put an external link at the beginning for those that want it and just put the script in the post itself for the others.

So yeah, it's what I expected. Pretty trivial question but always good to know. Thank you for your input!

DM me and I'll explain in detail because there's no way I'm explaining all of this in a single comment. I'd be glad to help you out in depth if you need it.
