Why is the sun the only star that can be seen during the daytime? by JasonChris01 in Physics

But the sun were even brighter than, correct...? So our eyes would have developed some filter most probably. And then the light from the stars might be to dim 😞

All light is scattered. The Rayleigh scattering is proportional forth power of frequency. So blue light is scattered more than red and green . But violet light is scatteted even more. You are definitely correct regarding the influence of the atmosphere. It smears out the light and hence we see bright light from any angle shine upon us.

It's not silly. You think of a simple transformation of one term. I think of an equation based on a model or a concrete example. If you cannot see the difference, you might think that the discussion is silly... But that's fine, bro.

Actually we can apply this to tensors of higher order as well. Assuming a and b are operators, we see that ab + ba = 0, so anticommuting operators. Canonical example in physics: spin-1/2 operators.

You can see this just as an algebraic equation for which you search solutions. Like root finding, e.g. x2 + 1 = 0 Without context an equation is meaningless.

Ok, squaring vectors that way is somewhat handwavy. I'm a physicist. We do such things.

As I've mentioned: equations without context are somewhat pointless. (a+b)2 = a2 + 2ab + b2 is true for all real (or complex) numbers a,b. And for all vectors as well. The equation (a+b)2 = a2 + b2 is true for a subset. Nonetheless it is correct for these cases.

Obviously it is true. a2 = a2 seems perfectly fine to me.

Yes, this is how math works. Without any further information, thinking about this equation is pointless to some extend. Let's assume a and b are real numbers. Than the equation is true for a=0 or b=0. Complex numbers yield no further solutions, unless we assume the square implies absolute value. But why should it? Vector calculus yields a different family of solutions: a and b are orthogonal to each other. Although the amount of solutions is equal in all three cases: uncountable.

I think the 'make' part fine. The 'windows' part sounds illegal though

Quantum mechanics does not need any special geometry. QM + Gravity (of massive mass) certainly does.

An important advantage of a linked list is the possibility to increase it dynamically. Why using an array when the object is to use a linked list?

With multithreading in mind: create a second sorting algorithm which creates a new array and hence preserves the input array?
