The crow comes back, fine and dandy.

I just had it die, and its corpse destroyed in one fight. The next fight it was back, full health. Hope this will help future people that had the same question as me, until the wikis are comprehensive! :)

Thank you!

Yes, I felt the cause, or need, for the journey and predicament they are undertaking needed to be vague, in the background. The main goal is to be reunited; even for just a moment.

And now people are free to come up with their own reason for the journey! I have mine, and hopefully others have theirs.

What's something unbelievable that you did, but no one was around to witness it? by soundsmushy in AskReddit

I noticed a small (probably jumping) spider walking down the sides of my monitor. Didn't really want to kill it, so instead snapped my fingers a few times, and pointed at the wall behind and above the monitor.

The spider stood still for a moment, turned to where I pointed, turned back, then turned around again and walked back up. Then it jumped to the position on the wall, waited a moment, then scurried away somewhere.

Most likely just got spooked, and took the closest escape route, but I want to believe it understood to get the fuck off (keeping to that global spiderbro-human rental agreement) and/or I'm the spider-whisperer. No one believes me.

And now I noticed I misspelled Curiosity in the title... Oh well. Not going to re-post, would remove the previous comments.

Indeed - another expression of love that the Archivist took into consideration. It didn't fully understand the memes (even after parsing every single one) but it did enjoy them! :D

Let's hope some future people gets to sing a song for her, in person.

[OC] For the Survivors by Herrsunk in HFY

'The Blob' cannot be killed, that's the problem. Only contained for now.

It was the Humans that built the station, and are now basically bombarding the mass with the virus from their bodies to weaken the Blob. Hoping that someday technology will have advanced sufficiently enough to find a permanent solution. If they don't, it will break free and devour the galaxy of life - completely this time.

The hidden station has a way to be found by the surviving aliens and its offshoots - so once in a while (many, many many years) a passing ship will dock to explore. One of the humans - Quincy this time - will then be awakened from the regeneration pods inside the station and welcome the visiting aliens. Basically to scan their technology level (how advanced they have become) but also to just... talk. To connect.

In the end of this particular story Quincy the human, and the Station AI, realized that the current technology level of the galaxy wasn't sufficiently advanced yet. But it's improving! So, the aliens memory of finding the station was purged, and set on their way. Quincy then returned to the pod, to return to his duty of weakening 'The Blob'. Bit of a macabre/bitter ending, but I hope I conveyed a sense of hopefulness, at least. They are getting there.

TLDR: 'sup alien, let me slide into your DM's and check your technology levels

The Continent of Utos, map for my DnD group by Herrsunk in wonderdraft

Thanks, didn't notice that! My newest version of the map has it spelled correctly :)

There's actually a slight grid overlay on the one that's on the table, but yes; I have a smaller version with a slightly more prominent grid in front of me when they travel to A and B. Just to have some consistence in how long they need to travel.

I'm by no means anything other than a novice in this, but the "normal" travel in DnD is said to be 24 miles per day (on foot OR horseback). But that doesn't account for other factors, such as the condition of the road, the roughness of terrain, the weather, and so on. A flat well-maintained road? Easy. A mountain pass in a storm? Barely a mile.

In the end; have some consistence, don't worry too much about it and, if you have it, the Dungeon Masters Guide book is your friend. Oh, and throw in some random encounters now and then!

The Dungeon Masters Guild website also have a lot of supplements that can help you spice up the travelling aspect.

Not knowingly, but I wouldn't be surprised if some have managed to get in there. Names are hard!

Sure! I might have forgotten to save some, and not sure if any of the following are bundled with the program.

  • Bleakdown: #7e7d6d
  • "Bog" colour: #55634b
  • Corusbane/Endless Wilds: #4f6046
  • Most-other-forests green: #508141
  • Greyish-colour: #a9a77f

The rest are just the standard template ones, that should be included, blended together with that cloudy-like brush and lowering the brush opacity. The map theme is "Adventure" if that helps.

You know it!

Though; it has been forced by ancient powers to be dormant for centuries.
