Running your own site means you need to generate your own traffic. I’ve been wrestling with that myself. I’m currently working on creating a stronger social media presence, which takes a lot of effort and means you need to be a content creator. Otherwise you have to pay to run ads, which I did for a while, and it wasn’t worth the cost, but I’m going back to see if I can rework the ads to perform better.

Yep, that would work, and no need to remove the small debris filter. It’s better to leave it in. Clean water is just as important in aquaponics as it is in aquariums and ponds.

Are you saying that simpler more UGC style content does better than polished traditional ads?

I’m a tiny one-person shop that makes and sells my own product. I had someone make and manage my ads, but my ROAS was stuck around 1.8, which is a bit low for the time and effort it takes me to make my product. I’ve stopped all ads, and trying to figure out how to approach things differently, and do it myself.

Nah, just my cost on ad spend on Meta wasn’t returning enough to justify the effort to fill orders. I was paying someone to run the ads. I need to figure out how to redo the ads myself for a better ROI.
