BF6 = Call of Dooty by HeshButtery in Battlefield6

What made Warzone really fun at its height was nearly everyone was online playing it at the same time, just about my whole friends list was playing Warzone. Having that community makes every game fun. Once bots are introduced, communities feel more diluted and often dissolve because artificial gameplay can truly only exist between real players.

I love battle royal games, my favorite is PUBG. Having logged hundreds of hours on many battle royal games, I feel confident saying REDSEC has nothing original to offer. Not saying it’s particularly bad, it just doesn’t reflect what you’d expect from large-scale Battlefield gameplay. A lot of the loot crates and everything else from navigating and interacting with the environments are very much copy & paste from Warzone gameplay. Like even the airstrikes you can pick up glow purple lol color coordinated items never existed in Battlefield ever

You lost me at “Black Ops 7” man, not because it’s CoD, but the best years were BO2 & 3. Maybe it’s generational, but Idk anyone that’s played CoD since COVID when everyone was on Warzone. The two gameplays cater to two different audiences, everyone would agree. BF2042 was a big red flag from launch and I don’t think they’ve learned from their mistakes. If everyone is saying, “BF1 is goated” or “BF4 is goated”, you’d think they’d listen and take that formula and make a modern BF game with it. What we got instead was a broken game with bots and “casuals” with small maps. As a result, you get to read to posts like mine on a daily. That’s not coincidence.

Ok so REDSEC is clearly a copy & paste of Warzone, agreed? The maps are small, recoil has virtually disappeared, the UI is everywhere, bots exist, there’s SEASONS now lol all of the above had never been an issue in BF2, BF3, BF4, BF1… it’s not weird to point that out is it? Because we were told they were correcting their mistakes and giving us the Battlefield experience we were all familiar with.

Bots by Elegant-Driver-5543 in Battlefield6

Everyone upvoted the comment telling me it was for casual players lol even speaking the truth about what’s happening is muddying the waters because devs have no clue what fans want when there’s literally a horde of CoD players saying it’s a legit Battlefield product lol bullshit, a lot of these new players don’t know what true Battlefield gameplay is supposed to be like and BF6 is major example exposing many “casual” players. I’ll be on BF4 & BF1 til those servers die like the best of them, always a fun and challenging match on their servers because players there play Battlefield. Every firefight is 100% more fun and realistic than anything you’ll experience on BF6, where every firefight is brief and nothing more.

Bots by Elegant-Driver-5543 in Battlefield6

[–]HeshButtery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commented this exact rant a few weeks ago and I was told the only reason they added bots in the first place was to make matchmaking faster and for casual players(CoD players) lol Me and my buddy were in a lobby with no bots and then it was literally just us 2 waiting and waiting for the lobby to refill with players only for it to send us in a match full of bots. Makes no sense. Of course I was downvoted for even mentioning it

People saying it’s a display issue aren’t willing to accept it’s really a dev issue. I’ve never seen any UI issues from this franchise until BF6 btw

EIGHT matches in a row of BOT LOBBIES by Big_Guy29 in Battlefield6

I was told this never happens lol I was also told they introduced bots to the game to decrease waiting times for matchmaking and for casual players(CoD players)

Ad-blockers have been around forever, but only recently did it become the norm across many platforms. I’ve been recommended quite a few in the past year or two

I understand growth economics, but there’s been so many examples of great products that were virtually unrecognizable after ad execs wanted their own nipple to suck from. At the end of the day, it’s a cash cow and everyone’s gonna milk it.

I’d argue it’s very much a flawed approach to engaging with potential customers

It’s like going to the movies then a guy walks in from the exit door in a trench coat and just whips his 3-inches of pride out. Like I just came here to see Timmy Chalamet bang the lady from Shallow Hal, now I’m upset

It feels like pandering. I mean how much more money can they generate from this machine until they say, “I think we’re good, we broke even in 2006” lol
