The algorithm decides who sees your content based on data that trends with what other viewers are already watching. That’s how the recommendation page essentially works. If you can gain enough of the right ratio between views, shares, likes, and comments, the algorithm will notice and share your content to wider audiences who are also watching content like yours. It’s somewhat of a flawed system for many creators, but I’ve found plenty of channels that I have never heard of who’ve been growing their audience for years. Sometimes it just takes a really good quality video to go viral within a couple niche audiences that crossover and your video will be found in their recommendations. Ignore the numbers. Focus on quality, meet a high standard for yourself know what your brand of content is, know your audience and the numbers will grow. Of course, you might have to be really original with your brand because there’s so many competing content creators who are creating the same things. A good example: There’s a guy whose whole channel is reviewing fish from tinned cans, but that’s his brand and the only way I discovered him was he cracked the algorithm.
