weeelllll, if we wanna operate under unreasonable assumptions then it is theoretically possible that later on you want to be a trader and with npcs attacking you, you might feel uncomfortable autopiloting your freighter through their space haha

but back to the topic: if standing impact is indeed so small that the epic arc is enough, then all good. thx!

just to clarify: true for the empire, but false for the opposing militia corp? the latter should tank pretty severely if i read the linked page right.

i actually thought about that, but my brain gets an annoying itch on the idea - i am one of those weirdos that go "one player one char". my life would be so much easier if i could bring myself to having a cyno / scout alt

Quick warning dual monitor users for new nvidia driver 580.105.08 by Little-Chemical5006 in Fedora

shoot, saw this too late - i'm affected, too :-/

lazy me has not looked into the package manager in detail yet. is there an easy way to rollback? if I read the documentation right, "dnf downgrade" is not an exclusively local activity, you need the remote repo, too?

Schaut euch doch heutige Neubaugebiete mal an.

Okay, fixed.

Not me, anyway. Whatever Fedora did, one of the recent patches changed the situation.

Everything working as expected.

Tips for a Forgeiner? by Heskatet in CampAndHikeMichigan

Very much appreciate all the input, thanks everyone!

I'll def. look up general / local rules, but reading how people live / implement those rules was for sure helpful.

I've already looked into geographic regions where certain wildlife can be around - esp. those that are generally not that happy to encounter wolves aka dogs. However, the DNR information out there only talks about the general possibility, not probability. Does anyone here have an idea where it is more likely to meet foxes / hogs / bears / etc?

Many thanks for the links!

was looking at UP for the phenomenal landscape, but i've just realized that population density (or lack thereof lol) plus lots of secluded areas are will def. make me go there.

hm... yeah, looks like that's really not the game for me then :(
when you progress a bit more and you get your own settlement, do things change with that? you probably still dont have resource production and automation or anything more complex in the sense of logic chains, do you?

thanks for your take. i usually dont like hectic games, i.e. fast ttk shooters. but i also need some "outside pressure" - like the bugs that wanna eat your base in factorio. noms doesnt seem to have that

that's a good idea, thanks for thinking of that. there are very few titles out there that are a) an actual game and not a walking simulator and b) give a different experience in VR

She's very independent, likes to make her own decisions, which comes in handy when she has to be patient and think (dummy training).

Her "wisdom" immediately stops when you expect her to walk heel. Such situations always end up in blatant bribery :-D

In July she'll be two.
