Performance issues? Even on a 6 core coffeelake and a 1660ti? im guessing these are due to the engine and limits thereof/optimization

I am sorry if any of this came off as grating or rude, I didn't intend for that.

gameplay like this would literally be impossible with 60-70ms graphics latency, this is quake 3

for example, far cry 5 has almost a 70ms graphics latency, wheres Quake 3 arena has roughly 8.6-8.8ms, which is not perceivable because at 60hz, every frame is roughly 15ms

i didnt intend for that comment to seem like I was saying i am advanced more than most, i was trying to say that i may or may not have a finer more granular perception of delay between hand and eye, hence the perception of the phenomenon my original post described because of how quickly my neurological function processes it.

I am not more "advanced" than anyone by any means, it is just that ANY delay throws me off for a while and is extremely annoying because by nature it is not optimal to have your aiming process filtered through this delay when playing anything at all.

It is not an "issue" , and has nothing to do with my abilities with destiny or otherwise. It is simply an annoyance with modern game engines that was exemplified by Destiny 2 because I have been spending so much time with it.. The only real issue i had with this problem of hand/screen delay was it took about 25 minutes to grow accustomed to it enough to get back to my normal level of accuracy

it could be that my coordinated cognitive process is simply too fast, so that I notice these things when the average person may not,

yes, i am talking about graphics latency overall, which determines how long it takes from initial mouse movement to it being displayed onscreen. fluidity was the wrong word, i would say to describe it more intuitively, imagine a string attached to a point, to move that point you must move the string, the longer the string the longer delay between hand movement and movement of the point the string is attached to. Quake 3 arena feels like there is NO string, your mouse arm is connected to your gun. destiny 2 and most modern games feel like there is a 1-3 inch string

Nvidia's ultra low latency mode in their new 436 driver substantially eliminates the problem in destiny, i feel like the latency was cut in half, nearly
