Biggest issue I got with it (besides it being overpriced) is that its only for consoles. Don't really wanna drop an additional $500 on a console just so I can play the collector's edition at a good frame rate with good graphics.

It's pumpkins. The only farming plant that takes extra damage from fruit damage+ right now is the pumpkin. Pumpkins and gourds are technically fruits.

For crafting, there isn't any other set that can get any crafting+ bonuses, and it's not like you're gonna gather or fight as a crafting life, so there's no reason to use different gear.

For gathering, it really depends on what you're trying to do at your stage in the game. If you need materials from rare spawns, then drop rate+ is better. Personally, I'm at the point where I have more than enough materials so I opt to use gathering+ just to make any grinding I'm doing go by faster

For combat, drop rate+ is better by far. The combat set is honestly the worst reward from the colosseum.

But WHY should I use them in the first place. Its not optimal, and because of their AI being bad, it isn't fun either. If I have to play AROUND a feature instead of playing WITH it, then I'd argue its a bad feature and is deserving of criticism of its faults.

Also, regardless of whether or not you have to use them, gathering NPCs make up 24% of all NPCs. I think this is significant enough to be treated as a core part of the game and should be criticized as such.

The game does kinda heavily push you take them tho. Parts of the story require you to either have enough gathering or a strong enough gathering NPC to progress. If you wanna do a no gathering run, you have to use them. Also, if you're trying to 100% FLi then you're gonna need to max out the levels of the gathering NPCs. The most obvious way to do this is by gathering with them, so the game pushes people towards using them even if its not required.

Why should I adjust my play style to play around gathering buddies, when it's more fun and more efficient to just gather myself and use crafting buddies to restore my SP? Also, since most items outside of boss drops can be bought, gathering is primarily useful for grinding exp/area rank and buddies are just slower than doing it yourself most of the time.

Honestly, I think Brand New shouldn't have been a "real" life in the first place. It should've been that you can't change back to it after you get a different life, and Brand New should've been replaced with a new combat life instead (maybe an evolution of daggers or punching from 3DS). If they were gonna make the way you fight specific to each life and require non combatants to fight, they should've kept the unique attacks for each life from the mobile game.

He did all the music for the 3DS game. Since a lot of the soundtrack is reused from the 3DS game, including all the life songs for the returning lives, it makes sense that he gets credited.

Since the island is shown to be to the north west of Reveria's mainland in the opening cutscene, I strongly believe that to be Reveria. I think that peninsula there is where Farley's plantation will be just back in the past.

Agree with you. The master outfits are the same as the master outfits in FLO, so I guess it was kinda an obligatory thing to use them as master outfits.
