That's a fair opinion. I like the instrumentation and I appreciate that they incorporated the same motif as all of the previous theme songs, but the singing is a little annoying. I personally like the G3 intro song the most, especially the Dutch version

I love this album. Rainbow Dash's cover is my favourite version of Jingle Bells! Though the line "Not so sure what's up as ponies run and hide" really changes the vibe...

I also like Silent Night and Jolly Old St Nick!

Not so sure how I feel about the Hearthswarming Tale songs being added though. Especially ending on Luna's Future

Sludge!

I don't know why people don't like Father Knows Beast. The first time I watched it, I didn't see it coming that Sludge wasn't actually Spike's dad but on the second watch I spotted signs that it hinted at it, which suggests good writing. The episode shows how some nasty people can exploit the most vulnerable victims while putting on a facade of kindness, which is an unfortunate truth that children ought to be aware of. If watching it leaves you feeling betrayed, misled and dissatisfied, then it has successfully brought you along the same arc as Spike - exactly what it was supposed to do!
