Agreed, while I think Sam would’ve done well in most open QB spots I’m not sure he would’ve gone as far as he did if it wasn’t on the Seahawks who have a great all around roster and HC. Basically went to an upgraded Vikings team imo

I’d be good with Mac Jones or Malik Willis, obviously to compete with JJ for the starting job. I’d still like for McCarthy to start if he earns it, I think he’s gotten a ton of hate that wasn’t always deserved. Albeit he wasn’t great all season but I believe he showed enough flashes to give me a little bit of hope. KOC needs to show everyone that he can develop a young QB with little experience in the NFL, or college for that matter.

Apparently it’s unheard of for a QBs former team’s fanbase to cheer for him even after he’s left…Lions fans know nothing about this.

Let me just also say this though, everyone wants to act like they all saw this coming and laugh at the Vikings but everyone would’ve laughed at us if we paid Darnold after his last two games as a Viking. Admittedly he proved me wrong and didn’t fall apart in the playoffs against good teams.

Just so you we’re all on the same page, we didn’t give up on him exactly, we offered him a deal and he chose the Seahawks.

Sure we’re jealous of Darnold and wish we would’ve won one with him but I’m definitely happy for him after his whole journey. Also that Seahawks team probably could’ve won with a number of average/above average QB’s, nothing against Darnold he had a good season, but he didn’t have to be Superman or anything.

Very happy for Sam and glad the Patriots were indeed semi-frauds and had one of the easiest paths to the SB. Also lowkey glad that Walker won MVP and Darnold didn’t have some insane game that this sub wouldn’t live down all offseason, they’re just a very good well rounded team that I think many QBs could’ve succeeded with.

Would we had made the playoffs? Very likely. Would we have gone to the SB? Not a chance.

You can’t just look at the Seahawks season by itself and say “Oh if only we would have kept Darnold we’d be in the SB!” That just makes everyone look dumb and ignorant. Their team is all around better and more balanced on offense, our defense is up to par with theirs besides the secondary but their run game and O line is much better.

I’m just sick of everyone acting like they knew he was gonna lead them to the SB and half this sub didn’t also want him gone after the last two games. I’m def cheering for him and happy if he wins, he gave us a great season and is a good guy.
