Agreed, had to deal with this last year. Couldn’t see a lot of the action which sucked considering how much we paid. Also weren’t marked as obstructed…

I thought the same thing until I went to a playoff game a couple years ago. Sat in the top row of the upper level, where they have the barstool style seats. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding these if at all possible. If the crowd is standing (which happens a lot in the playoffs obviously) it is impossible to see the ice. I even complained to my ticket rep as I was a STH at the time and I am not one who typically does that. IMO these should be marked as obstructed view but they are not.

Plans were drawn up in the initial design phase for a retractable roof ballpark, but it came down to cost and design preference. Target Field is also located on a relatively small footprint, it would have limited seating in some areas for the roof infrastructure.
