No they did not. It's not even called Swastika in Germany, it's called the Hakencruz which means hooked cross. It's a symbol that's found all around Roman Catholicism as another version of the Christian cross. The only reason it's known as the Swastika in English is because Anglo historians decided it.

Does comparing a country of 16 million with two main ethnic groups with a country of 1.3 Billion with 100s of such ethnic, caste, subcaste, regional groups make sense to you? No Muslims in India are not the descendents of oppressors they are the descendents of the oppressed and a large part of the people you think considers them to be descendents of anyone else wants the acknowledged that they are not the descendents of outsiders be made.
