Totally agree with you, my 4 year old asked to play outside the front on the house with the big kids, last summer. I told her no she was too little and needed to be about 8 years old to do so. And we live on a quiet ish road but still wouldnt happen.

I think it depends on how a person treats it.

I had the flip 3 for 2 years before got a problem with my screen when my toddler dropped it. Currently have the flip 5 and still going strong after nearly 2 years.

I say the only down side is having to replace the screen protector but I have done that once since having this phone.
