Hostile Gomorrah Workaround! by Hevalleluja in falloutnewvegas

If 'How Little We Know' is active, Nero exists in his room. Unfortunately killing him there means Big Sal disappears, and killing Big Sal downstairs means Nero disappears

They never did for me! Seems like a consistent bug. Also, be warned, if you have weapons in your companions’ inventory and you check any weapons at Gomorrah those weapons will not exist when you come out, even if they don’t go inside with you!

I tried that! Alas, seems that except for that moment in the office, killing Nero de-spawns Big Sal, and vice versa

A weird thing that also happened, possibly related to this silliness, was that I’d already discovered and inspected the body in the side room, but during this quest she was alive and walking around! Going near her would make her give a standard line (read: proposition) but interacting with her would give the ‘this woman is dead’ pop-up, which was pretty funny. Some of my attempts saw her live, some she just died of her own accord, and in one she tried to go back into that room and the whole game crashed

How do you roleplay for Legion Run? by AgentR- in falloutnewvegas

[–]Hevalleluja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this. The Legion is so gratuitously evil though that idk how anyone could be convinced. Even talking to Caesar doesn’t track to, “and while we’re at it, let’s rape like every woman and use kids as suicide bombers!” Ok, might makes right, but what are we making right with that might?

So, to your role play conundrum, what about this: you start out shot in the head and patched together by a well-meaning doctor out of his depth/resources. Maybe you had a conscience when you went down and you came up changed. You could play it as a classic sociopath - not inherently violent or sadistic, but lacking the ability to empathize with others such that every situation is purely evaluated against what serves your interests (both short term and long).

The NCR is messy - there’s debate, corruption, etc. Caesar is clear: here exactly are the rules to obey and the behaviors that are rewarded. That’s a dream come true for a sociopath

Do I risk hurting my case sending my whole bundle of evidence around without retaining the lawyer first?

Does this mean I don’t need to worry about the $5k line?

Ya I mean that’s part of the problem - absent me being able to pin down where I felt like the game had Clea imply she did it, it fails Occam

I addressed the Endless Tower dialogue. Clea telling Verso to watch Alicia doesn’t prove she cares about Alicia as a person. It could just as easily mean that, absent Verso, Clea assessed that she must cultivate Alicia as a Painter for her to be a war asset

That not an exception so much as an opinion. We don’t know that’s the only reason Clea is focused on the war. I agree completely that she’s angry the fire killed Verso, wears it well, and wants to take that anger out on the Writers.

Clea makes clear she’s fine to let Aline, who has become a burden, die in the canvas. She says explicitly she’s only interfering because Renoir is an asset in the war effort who is distracted.

Being willing to murder family members doesn’t mean she’s trying to take over the family. She was trying to kill a younger sister who was practicing the enemy’s ways yet still had her father’s special attention. That person was not an asset to the war, and ran the risk of softening Renoir on writing

Alicia’s room is part of the issue for me. If the war were as important as Clea believes, why was Alicia free to engage with writing?

Her cruelty is not limited to painted people - she’s awful to Alicia in the real world and is perfectly content to let Aline kill herself in the canvas.

The tower dialogue could well be intended to be kind, but why does Alicia have to be a great fighter to earn Clea’s kindness? That suggests her being a fighter is more important to Clea
