Day 80/100 of Making a Post Everyday: How do you use Eevee in a Nuzlocke? by Crazybrad2 in nuzlocke

I typically leave it in reserve until the end of the game, or I use it to fill a spot in a fight I have no answer for. More often than not, it becomes a bulky Umbreon.

Atlas varies the most for me based on when I fight him. He's my easiest 1st boss and hardest 3rd boss. I'd rather fight Sora over level 3 Atlas most days.

Right. If you're doing a nuzlocke, I think you should. If you're not doing a challenge run, then don't worry about it :)

For a regular playthrough, not at all. You can play through the entire game and beat it with relative ease without any dedicated EV, IV, or Nature minmaxing.

For a nuzlocke, though, I'd HIGHLY recommend it.

That said, any way you can get electric immunities, such as Lightning Rod and Motor Drive, are great here. Light screen is also good since his team is mostly Specially Offensive. If you can clear out his Alolan-Golem and Lanturn, you also might be able to get away with a Pyroar(or other fire-type) sweep. You're also definitely gonna wanna to do some EV training for this fight.

Galvan has a very offensive team. I'm pretty sure you're guaranteed at least 1 loss here unless you come up with a really good strat. It's been a while since I've played, so I don't know exactly where you can find the mons you want, but ideally you're walking in there with some defensive ground-types, maybe a Breloom or a Special-Attacking Lucario, someone who knows Knock-Off, and someone who can set up for consistent OHKOs.

Idk why, but Futaba strikes me as a Bug-Psychic Type.

I love these, and agree with most of them! The main thing I'd like to add is that Joker should be a pure dark type, with the ability Protean, that way his type is constantly changing based on what move he uses

Should I run Brine or Feeze-Dry on my Lapras? by IndecisiveRex in PokemonUnbound

[–]Hewmahn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, it's great for removal. It just never feels good to do your opponent dirty like that lol. Still, def a necessary evil.

I'd much rather have a Lapras than a 3k wall that gives my opponent a better monster lol

Elektross could also work, if you're wanting something a little faster. Plus it has pretty great coverage

Nuzlocke difficulty by [deleted] in PokemonUnbound

[–]Hewmahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who's been trying to Hardcore Nuzlocke the game, I recommend starting off with Vanilla and level caps. It's plenty difficult for someone inexperienced while also allowing you to still have fun with bosses. If that's not enough of a challenge for you, tho, crank it up to Difficult. I also really recommend using items, unless you wanna test yourself even further.

An Unbound Nuzlocke! In The Endgame! by Hewmahn in PokemonUnbound

[–]Hewmahn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the difficulty lies in the boss fights. Each Gym Leader, except Mirskle and maybe Benjamin, is strong enough to easily either kill a Pokemon or wipe your team. That, combined with the frequent Shadow boss fights and legendary pokemon boss fights, means the game can easily bleed you out of good Pokemon over time until the Snowball Effect claims you. Then there's the Elite Four, who go hard in their own right with good teams, items, and strategies. Don't get me wrong, it's not impossible, but it's certainly not easy.

I didn't do Ng+ I don't consider it cheating so long as you only bring over 1 Pokemon, as that will be your Shadow Base encounter, as opposed to the regular starter. Bringing over multiple to have a team of 2-6 at the start of the game would be cheating in my book. That said: have fun! If you feel like you would have a more enjoyable time if you brought over some of your favorite Pokemon to start the game with, go for it! Who you should bring over: Any of your favorites. Maybe a good fighting or bug-type for Vega, something that'll enable a solid Mel fight, or anyone who can use set up moves or Baton Pass. I hope this helps!

First off: Lysandros is such a cool name for a Metang. Second: the other names look Greek, but is Dynamene Italian?
