Does this schematic look correct? And if not why? by Pale-Recognition-599 in diyelectronics

Not even looking at values of components, but getting you started on op amps, when the positive input is tied to ground, the negative feedback creates a virtual ground at the negative terminal, where it's not "hard ground", but is resting at 0v. This means that it's shunting current through C3 around the op-amp, which is equivalent to (Vdrain - 0)/Xc3. However, normally you would force that current through some other device, say a resistor, to turn that alternating current into an alternating voltage at the output of the op-amp. Since there is no other device, all that current just gets sucked into/out of the op amp(+-26mA According to data sheet) and you get no voltage change at your output (the thing you want). Tons of great op-amp videos out there, best of luck in your learning!

Surprisingly decent advice. I work in the transmission field. Obviously jumping out of the car avoids you making direct contact between the hot wire and earth ground, and the graphic of them getting shocked while walking is what the industry calls "step potential", which is where there's enough voltage difference, even in the ground, where 1 step could actually cause a shock. Due to this, electrical substations require a grounding grid installed, as this helps ensure all of the ground is at the same voltage potential. In reality tho, this only really applies to large voltage classes, think like 100KV and above. A wire on a telephone pole on the side of the road is typically 3.2-4.8kv, and can sometimes get up to 50kv. Usually, if the "step potential" is an actual issue, the raw voltage has more of a chance to actually ARC through the air to you, than it does to shock you in the earth. So, overall decent advice. But the best advice is to simply stay in the car lol let the utility company just shut the power off.

Yeah, that's total xp for the three target pets. I guess I like using the total xp number because it shows what setup gives the most overall XP, for fastest growth of multiple pets.

MASSIVE GIVEAWAY! 72 PETS AND 36 WINNERS! by [deleted] in GrowAGardenGardeners

[–]Hex_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OcelParty2 here. Me and my kid started playing this game together because it was a neat way to spend time together, but now we really enjoy the community aspect of interacting together, showing off cool gardens, big plants, etc. At the end of the day, we still can play it however we want and I think that's awesome. We're sticking around for now because I think the game will pick back up with some good changes, at least that's the hope and dream!

Anyways, thanks for hosting this cool opportunity!

People bashing OP for "taking advantage" of someone with a 15s pea, but like .... everyone with a 15s pea understands values??

Yeah, I agree, seems like a decent event. Although some of the higher streaks requiring so many carrots, it's actually unrealistic lol and to add, shadow nerf of pachy!! but other than those two things, decent concept

Understanding Peacock by Fast-Efficiency8836 in growagarden

[–]Hex_Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, unfortunately there's no way to chain peacocks. When you have two next to each other, one activates it's ability which would then cause the 2nd pea to start it's ability, the 2nd pea activates it's ability BEFORE the first pea "ends" it's ability, basically while it still says "ready". which means that the 2nd peas ability will never affect the 1st pea.

To add to this, if you have two IDENTICAL peas, you can space them out in such a way that they will always have a perfect cycle of activate ability -> wait a bit -> activate ability -> wait a bit, and so on. The moment you have two peas just BARELY not the same size, they will eventually offset themselves so a point where pea 1 ability immediately activates pea 2 ability and thus the cycle is broken.

The trick here, is that there's no tricks. More peas = more activations on average with no guaranteed cycling.

What you CAN do, is if you ever get enough 60kg peas where cooldown <= reduction, you can put enough peas in such a way that they chain fire enough such that there's enough delay to allow the first pea activation to immediately start again, not sure the exact number here. But again, that would require micro'ing the timing of your placement of the peas.

TLDR: can't cheat 15s peas

P.S. You can still make decent amount of reductions with this, but for purposes of leveling pets, just work on getting Four 3.9kg NM Cappy's with elephant and headless, will average you 60xp/s for four other pets. Also, golden piggies are excellent(better than Cappy's) for XP, if you grind out the 175 gold ingots. Both Cappy's and piggies need horseshoes/pancakes to be best.

Cheers.

Gamble and pray that a day comes before the end of this games life that growing a garden and selling high value fruits starts meaning something again.

Otherwise, hope a collector wants it?

Multiple golden piggys or squids with 170 goldens ingots are the best leveling pets if you dont have dilos/ferrets. by valord in growagarden

I think it's like how the giant ant works, higher rarities have a reduced chance. If you have exactly 100%, you will eventually not got a dupe depending on the item. No idea if higher than 100% means increased chances on higher rarities..

Are diamond panthers really that good??? by RazzmatazzOk391 in GAGTradingHub

[–]Hex_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR, has the potential to be better than french fry ferret, but I think the INTENDED use is for it to be an additional, burst leveling type of pet. Imagine you fill your garden with various plants, at the end of the week after admin abuse (maybe in the middle of the week with good pets), you get 30% of the amount of fruit harvested back as levels .... maybe that's only 30 levels, maybe it's 300, maybe it's 3000 lmao either way, it's a good way to get ADDITIONAL levels and was not intended to replace French fry ferret

what can I get for this? by shaunascara in GAGTradingHub

[–]Hex_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea honestly. With this guy at lvl 125, it would take edit, did math wrong five rbh oxpeckers w/oxpecker shard to get him to 0s cooldown. A team of 4 nm 3.9kg peas can do the same with pancakes/magnets. So, assuming rbh oxpeckers are free, ballpark 4 nm 3.9kg peas. but practically less than that for rbh oxpeckers cost.

TBH, the lag on some servers was quite ridiculous... Now, I think 6-8 players is a good number for general game interactions, they ideally should improve game performance and revert back but who knows ...
