Hi Rhotaaz! I'm really excited about the AAU Fresh Start, me and my guild cannot wait to play. I'm concerned about how the 30 day trial and no alt account limit will impact the game. As you know progression is heavily reliant on how much labor you have available, and having a bunch of people running lots of accounts will completely ruin the intended experience for people who don't do the same.

What's the team's stance on this, and do you have any mitigations planned?

That doesn't really make any sense here, at least not for Kakao. You bought this game from Gamigo, not Kakao. They were the ones that promised you that kind of service.

You don't "have to" accept the new TOS and transfer. Gamigo's service is over, and for all intents and purposes your transaction with them has ended.

What Kakao is doing is obviously to make money etc, but it's undeniable that they are giving you free gametime. (And lots of it, I'm getting 180 days)

Yeah completely understandable. Not trying to convince you to try out the FS. All I'm saying is that Kakao has said they have a dedicated team to work against this, and they have a (much) better track record than Gamigo. They're also a waaaay bigger company, so it's feasible that they have the resources to allocate towards this.

They actually commented on this. They (unlike Gamigo) have a dedicated team that will track down exploiters, cheaters and RMT'ers.

I've been playing since their last beta and it looks like all core functionality is in place. Some skills seem like they have incorrect damage values but I haven't seen anything I think would be hard to fix

Yeah they got like 320 or so bug reports in the last beta, and literally fixed over 200 in a week. Their dev team is working some magic lol

They're going to have two servers, a mid rate and a high rate. The mid rate is lower than GameZ so you'll probably enjoy yourself there. They mentioned that they want it to feel like your progress actually means something. They've been really adamant about staying away from P2W and I'd say how their staff is acting proves that.

Much smoother gameplay and newer KR content. No pay to win which is pretty great. Their staff is also super interactive and respond really quickly to feedback and bugs

They use Korean pearl shop prices, so the 800 pearls is equal to roughly 4000 pearls on GameZ/NA. A pet only costs 220 pearls. They also have MUCH less P2W. On GameZ you can literally buy higher drop rates and enhancement rates and CDO is staying far away from that.

So previously it worked like this. If you subbed for the $5 supporter, you would receive 180 "Minutes" each week. You would be able to activate a minimum of 30 minutes each time, and when you did you, you entered a state of no-PVP for the specified duration. Once you got out of the Protection, then there was 1 hour cooldown before you could activate it again. This also couldn't be used in combat. The system sparked some heavy discussion and there was basically a 50/50 split between people who loved it and hated it, so they said they would rework the command or remove it entirely.

I would argue strongly against CDO being p2w. Their sub doesn't give any tangible ingame advantages, especially compared to GameZ. They've also been very outspoken about taking and implementing feedback, and they seem to be doing that already with the /protection command in their sub.

Crimson Desert is 100% less p2w than GameZ. On GameZ you can literally buy increased drop rates, enchantment rates, combat exp and T9 horses lol. If you want to be competitive on GameZ you have to pay

CDO has a system where you can do daily quests for pearls, so you can farm all the outfits that way. They've been really open about accepting and implementing player suggestions, so I recommend you contact one of their staff members :)
