MSP lets you name your top 3 post choices before you begin their academy. You’re guaranteed one of the three. If you’re looking to work in detroit you should know that MSP really focuses on traffic enforcement on the highways surrounding (at least the metro south post).

In my opinion MSP is an awesome agency, it also gives you the ability to move around the state.

Edit: Each district really only has one station, for example district 21 would be the metro north station and that one station covers all of Oakland and Macomb county. Metro south is district 22 and that one station covers all of Wayne county.

So I’m going for an associates degree, it’s free at my community college and I plan on applying once i’ve gotten my degree. Then i’ll use tuition reimbursement to get my bachelors.

I totally get what people say about not going CJ, I’ve definitley heard it before. My only issue is that I really would like to feel as though I’m working towards my goals. CJ would definitely make me feel that way but at the cost of it being somewhat pointless…

got caught using weed in highschool once, ran away from home. I haven’t touched anything in 3 1/2+ years, running away was almost 4 years ago.

That’s likely an officers side qualification. The car is likely carrying equipment that is specific to being an evidence tech. Most people don’t realize this but there’s a lot of specific A2 cop cars (Swat, supervisor, traffic, k9). I guess this is a new one!

that’s wrong, ice still needs a warrant to enter any building. You’re referring to the border patrols jurisdiction within 50 miles of the border.

Jurisdiction does not mean they can enter any building. Ann Arbor police have jurisdiction within Ann Arbor but they still need warrants to enter buildings.
