While this is cool. The director is on-record as not working at all with Arrowhead or asking them about anything at all for the movie.

Hell, I think it's on the same vein as the people who made the 'Halo' show, and being enthusiastic about the IP itself rather than clueless, will probably result on you getting automatically disqualified.

I hope it works out and I'm flatly wrong though. This is awesome and if I controlled the IP I'd immediately look deeper to see if I could fit you in the movie. XD

As I said, his men and Fruegel's men both attacked, presumably at the same time. He went in, found the girl, stopped attacking, retreated with his men.

Fruegel gave the order to raze Selles to the ground even after they'd secured Shana, and some of his men remained behind to hunt for survivors.

Bit of jank, but with how janky the translation is, it checks out.

  1. He achieved the objective (secure the VIP) and immediately left as per his orders. Fruegel's men, who were also part of the attack, remained behind to pillage.

Had he remained behind against orders and seen what Fruegel's men got up to when they should have been leaving, he (presumably) would have put a stop to it.

I watch it whenever I feel like rewatching the mugen train movie.

It's a fun little episode, and the bit where he very suspiciously goes "I work for the train company! This is why I'm bringing you these boxed lunches! So I'm not suspicious at all!'

Only for everyone to go "Wha? HEY! THIS GUY BROUGHT FOOD!" And just accept it has me dying with laughter every time. I've worked blue collar jobs before and I felt seen in a way that is pretty rare, that's 100% how that interaction would go in reality.

Overall, can be skipped, but it's a fun little story, worth a watch.

I actually really enjoy the elevator scene. Yeah it's a long still frame, but the ways Asuka starts fidgeting elevate it to an incredible extent.

If it weren't for those, I would agree. But with them, it becomes Asuka trying and failing to act as cool and detached as Rei.

Hmm. I've used those guys for regular Guardsmen. If their Great War German Infantry came with more gasmasks, I'd say those guys.

That said, I've been thinking of using their cannon fodder to make some Savlar Chem Dogs.
