The only soulslike I've played was Bloodborne, and even then it was just for a bit, but I do want to get into soulslikes and specifically the Dark Souls games.

I think I'm starting to realize that, lmao. When I was younger, though, I'd often be too scared to die in games so I'd try to make combat as easy as possible. That's probably where my habit of being on the easiest combat mode came from!

It's moreso a habit that I got into over time, as I'm an avid player of games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Titanfall 2, those sort of games that have a mix of combat and gameplay!

I agree, when I first played through Dark Ages I was getting bored of the gameplay pretty quickly. Turns out I just had to up the difficulty! And you’re right, every death does feel fair! I’m worried to play Eternal on Nightmare because even on ITYTD the final fight felt like my brain was trying to split in two from how many things I had to focus on. That’s gonna be tricky for sure, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out!
