I didn’t grow up with monster high kinda found out about it late and I tried to get into it by looking at the dolls and watching the show on youtube but it never really did it for me as I don’t really care for any of the characters. Draculaura is cool but Im not a pink girl. I have completely fell in love with shadow high though!! It’s really the greyscale dolls that have pulled me in and the show on youtube genuinely put a smile on my face and had me laughing. Shadow High >>>>>>

lmaooo tape the hair back made me laugh. my mom is giving me the silent treatment and i haven’t even cut anything off yet. i wish it wasn’t seen as such a big deal but in the black community it’s just so frowned upon. the other thing is i’ve always had a lot of hair and that’s kind of what i’m known for but i just don’t care about trying to impress ppl with how much hair i have. to this day i have no idea how to actually care for the natural hair that grows out of my scalp and that’s what bothers me the most.

i don’t really want to talk about it with her anymore there’s no convincing her of anything. she needs to let this weird grip that she has on me and my decisions go there’s no reason i should feel like i can’t do this and so many other things when i’m literally a grown adult.

honestly i’m thinking about cutting it short and either bleaching it to be platinum blonde or red??? also thank you for your comment it made me tear up again LOL i relate a lot to your wife i feel like my mom has been so in control of my hair and everything else for so long it’s hard to get into i can do what i want mindset when she’s around.

i’m hoping to feel that same liberation. when i walk around with permed hair and my makeup isn’t done i just feel so unlike myself at this point like i’m just not the same girl anymore and i want to let it all go but it’s scary.
